I've been busy building Tichy Train Group models. I'm presently working on building the single sheathed, outside braced boxcar. This is a difficult kit to build. I ended up breaking some very tiny small parts that go on the brake gear so it's underneath so won't be as visible. I just finished building 2 ore cars, a 40' 50 ton flatcar and a 40' 50 ton wooden side gondola which is a flatcar with 10 stake pockets for the fence stakes. All of these came out really well as I painted each board of the flatcar & gondola decks a different shade of brown, mixing the colors in a plastic communion cup as I went. Now I'm waiting for the paint to dry on the deck bottom of the boxcar. I'm also in the process of rebuilding 6 Central of Georgia passenger cars, replacing all the talgo truck couplers with body mounted Kadee's and sanding down the rust and repainting the frames on the coaches. Waiting on some 36" Walther Proto 2000 metal wheel sets to replace all the plastic wheels. Cheers from eastern TN
