I reented a truck once from Uhalu to bring a car home. Didn't have a hitch. So, I bought a hitch, bolted it on, went down and got the car, brought it home. Took he hitch off, and returned the truck. Make sure to ask if the trucks have hitches when you call around so you aren't trying to do what I did last minute. Last comment. I promise. lol
Haha the comments are fine. I'm actually going with enterprise on the truck side. They have a towing option on their 3/4 ton trucks for an extra $25 a day. So as long as they don't mess anything up I'll be ok lol 🤞🤞
When I was in my mid 20's, I worked at a shop that did glass, and they typically used the primer on the glass AND any metal areas that didn't have existing urethane. But you'll probavbly be fine.
I borrowed the primer and gave it back before I had the new urethane. I didn't even think about it. It will be fine. I've installed a ton of windows in equipment over the years and have never used primer on them without any issues. I think I'll be ok, but time will tell, lol.
Could have 3d printed those tabs for the windshield....might not be a bad idea to run a set and throw them in before final assembly. (Sorry for so many comments, I kinda post as the video goes so I don't forget. haha)
Not a problem at all man. My buddy James mentioned that actually. Before I installed the window I spoke to the guy I purchased the window from. He said the little tabs are just locators from the factory while they are assembling them it makes it faster to align the window. He recommended making them out of a piece of foam or plastic and remove them after it drys.
The paint for this project came from a local paint supplier. The paint on the black truck came from Amazon. I've also purchased paint from eastwoods website and other sites over the years. Usually I'll base my purchases off of reviews
See you at mininats man! I am with you on the dirt in the paint. I just finished up my paint job in my dirty ass garage yesterday not enough time to let the paint harden to cut and buff before the show. Just don’t look too close.😅
Hopefully your trucks at you rent will have a slide for a hitch some of those Reynolds don't have that however everything you've done so far looks so good I can only wish you luck and pray that God goes with you up there to your mini truck meet
I do have pdr tools I haven't perfected that skill just yet. It's a time-consuming thing to learn. I've never been a body man so that always a body man part doesn't apply to me haha. Thanks man !
Thank you very much. I'm not the best at installing them. I've installed a ton of equipment windows over the years but only a handful of automotive windows, and most of them are the old gasketed windows you install with a rope.
Sorry, I try my best to get them up mid day . If they go up later in the day it means I worked until 7-8 that night to push to get a little more work done.
