This American would love to escape the US and live on Lesvos where his maternal grandfather came from. I'm sick of corrupt US politics and most Americans who are just fine with all of this because it doesn't affect them directly. And, the events following October 7 has so destroyed my peace of mind that I'm truly serious about not having anything to do with my country for the rest of my life. As I'll be 69 in June, I feel this urgency profoundly. We'll see.

They are not checking your passport bags etc for the security of a place you’re leaving…

I wonder if you will be able to visit socotra island off the coast of yemen. It looks beautiful, but is in an incredibly strategic position and apparently the US has built a base there (although they deny it).
