Chavi is the real definition of a PINOY CHEF.. the way he cooks it makes me remember of how we cook in province he reminds me of my uncle that passed away. kudos to chef JP you are real inspiration.. you really put the filipino food forward! and of course our ninong ry salamat sa pagiging wikipedia when it comes to cooking i love your humor!
You know what I love with these series with Ninong Ry and Chef Chavi (I hope I spelled it correctly), I admire the idea of putting different personalities into one great content, si Ninong Ry eh super down to earth at very vocal tapos napaka kwela, si Chef JP naman is like a great mentor who shares his passion and knowledge to everyone beside him at sa mismong viewer, despite the fact na magaling si chef I can sense yung pagiging humble nya at open sa new learning opportunities. Aside sa mga ito ang pinaka nagustuhan ko sa episodes na ito eh yung idea ng "When modern cooking meets tradition" super aha moments sakin each time na nageexplain si Chef Chavi ng dishes at foods from their own culture, you can feel na sobrang proud sya at excited syang ipakita at ipatikim yung kung anong meron sa kanila. This comment is four months late but Chef JP i know you are a key person in bringing Ninong Ry and Chef Chavi and Overland Kings into this one beautiful content. This (while admittedly is not a typical Filipino camping setup) is a new and very fresh perspective of Philippine cuisine and it shows that such cuisines can be done in camping setups. And the type of homogenized harmony of the different types of kusinero in this one spot is what I call a "melting pot". Congratulations to all of you guys. One of the best things about Chef JP is he goes out of his way to feed people or have them try what he's making. He derives joy from making sure everyone is well-fed. Just the simple act of handing a half cob of corn to Chef Kim also shows he cares for his crew.

This is a wonderful scene to see. Even all of them struggle due to heavy rain. They still really created delicious food for sharing. The ideas and sharing of knowledge each chef is humbly to see.
