This movie series was epic when it came out and everyone thought it can’t be surpassed. Then along came KGF and shattered it. Guess what guys small tidbit... The next big movie is directed by KGF director Prashanth Neel with the lead actor Prabhas from Bahubali. It is called “Salaar”... Indian cinema is peaking right now.
Actually this film franchise paved path for the south indian cinema grow by leaps and bounds within a span of just a few years. After this movie, most of the big budget, vfx based as well as concept, story and quality based movies have emerged, especially in the southern film industries. It brought recognition to all the south indian film industries worldwide. Unlike bollywood whose image is diminishing and going down the drain in the past few years, regional films have taken over it. Hence this film franchise will always be remembered as one of the most iconic films ever made in Indian film Industry.
Baahubali is in my Top 10 Movies of All Time. Maybe even Top 5. In 2022 the whole world was raving about RRR, but to me RRR's got nothing on Baahubali. The depth of the story and characters is 10 times better. In fact, Baahubali was such a success among a certain portion of movie fans in Japan that even in 2023 some movie theatres here still screen Baahubali. I've watched The Conclusion more than 30 times just in theatre and many more times the songs and scenes on RU-vid, but I still don't get tired of it. It just speaks to my soul. When I first watched The Beginning, withing the first 5 minutes I knew that this was gonna be something very special and so powerful (Those of you who've watched it you know exactly what I'm talking about). And it was beyond those expectations!
