There some interesting dialogues. 5:47 Kalakeya: "I will occupy you and your kingdom and make children from you, then you make them kings" 6:05 Sivagami : "bring him alive, ever after his hands and legs or slit and his blood is flowing, even if the vultures have plucked his eyes and intestines, bring him alive" 28:46 Bahubali: reminding his moms order, babhubali actually lifts his sword to cut his shoulder but the bitch Bhallala deva kills him only to claim the throne (in earlier plots, Shivagami puts lot of tests to her sons to decide who will be eligible for claiming throne but they get tie and she says this war is last test to make her decision) 31:03 "qualities of a king is not just to slay his enemies but also to protect his people, bhalladev focsed only on killing enemies but bahubali also aimed to save commoners, thats the difference between a solder and king" 31:25 "one who kills 100 becomes warrior, one who save 1 is called god"

The way I lost my shit after watching this reaction i- 😂😂😂. I came to realize, us Indians having been fed these kinds of jaw opening scenes has made it so generic for us. We are so used to seeing these kind of performances that we often ignore how much effort can be out into it. the story in this scene was that whoever brought the rival leader’s head alive to the queen, would be crowned king. bahubali did it for his motherland and bhalladev cared only for the power. the later “villian” is the actual son of the queen and the crippled old man. bahubali is the son of a different woman who died giving birth so that queen took responsibility. and since he thinks about his people more than the other, she favors him more. in the conclusion movie scene, it’s the final battle between bahubali’s SON and bhalladev. bahubali was killed on bhalladev’s orders after he became king and therefore it was promised that bahubali’s son will come back to avenge his mother’s (the queen) death and will kill bhalladev. also, bahubali and his son look exactly the same. so in the conclusion, it’s not bahubali fighting his “brother,” it’s bahubali’s son fighting his uncle (bhalladev).

I really enjoyed your review for one simple reason. You seem to have got so much of the story from the emotions, the fight, the facial expressions etc. That is actually the competence of the director SS Rajamouli. He is a legend in visual storytelling in India and has given 10 blockbusters in a row since he started making movies. You should watch his movie Eega. Made on a shoestring budget, it is a prime example of how creative storytelling can let you get away with not-so-great special effects

I'm Indian mythology there a species of men called Raksha they worship this Indian goddess Kali ma "Black Mother". There skin was black like black black they were a strong and fearsome specie which was constantly in war with human species. There intention wasn't to do black face or anything of that sort but only to accurately represent the specie.

What people don't know is Indian plate collided with the Eurasian plate and that's how Himalayas were formed. Earlier, India was a part of Africa and Australia, Antarctica, and whole Africa were somehow related. Basically, AFRICANS AND INDIANS HAVE THE SAME GENES..

SS Rajamouli is easily one of the most inventive filmmakers on Earth. This battle scene is far better than Battle of Bastards. Crazy to think this Baahubali’s budget was only $18M. Imagine what he could do with the $250M budget that Marvel movies have.

The context of this scene is that those two guys are brothers competing in this battle for the throne. But because of some behind-the-scenes corruption by mr. moustache, the asshole son got all the archers and arrow launcher machines, and the other son got catapults and other stuff that isn't as useful in this type of battle.
