Amanda, music is therapeutic and I will keep you in my thoughts and you do what you heart tells you to do with your fiance. The older I got I started asking myself would they do it for me that being sd I would try to help any that needed it but my husband for yrs I couldn't change him cause you can't change someone who doesn't want to change but almost 20 yrs later I am glad that I stayed w him because I got myself in a bad situation and he stayed right w me. I hope your tears turn into happiness.

I can't fully understand your situation but I can understand that relationships can be difficult at times. Well actually you can be. Because I have a friend who learned about something called agape love. And he said it made him find the answer to how to hold on when your the only one. Agape love means unconditional love that is enjoyed from the viewpoint of expecting nothing in return for all the effort and love you give to people. To be willing to focus solely on gifting love that is never ending and isn't effected by being unappreciated, or betrayed, or ghosted, or abandoned etc. You face all of those ahead of time and decide you don't care because your not loving to be given anything in return. You accept that most people won't be able to healthily love you forever and not hurt you even if you can to them. Sad fact is we aren't all equal. Some of us can stand loving and loyal forever. Some can't even control their minds let alone their hearts. Wanting to be loved back and appreciated and wanted etc. Is nice. And should be how it is. But it's also true that needing that. Is not really toxic but it is a flawed way of trying to love. You receiving love etc like you want to have happen may one day come to you. And then you can enjoy it. And be happy. But it should come without you having needed to do buy it so to speak with your own love and efforts. You shouldn't base your love on making anyone else work for it even for good reasons. Just because you think people should have to follow your love language doesn't mean they will or should or even can. I've been unable to meet an ex lovers idea of loving them how they wanted to be loved back and so they pulled away with the idea if I truly loved them I'd naturally love them in the way they think real love acts. Wich wasn't fair. If I have love for you. Why can't it be my version of love. What if I do love you but I also struggle heavily with expressing emotions and I keep my thoughts in my head rather than communicate better. If you wrongly think love is supposed to mean they will match your effort level and give a lot of attention etc. It doesn't mean that. I can think of you non stop. And you can be someone who is fine going hours without talking but that does not mean you miss me and I must not miss you since you wanna talk and are thinking of me. While I'm not showing you attention so I must care less. There is different types of personalities who love in different ways. My friend shows that just because you think you should leave a one sided relationship. As if it has to be over no other choice. You can also choose to stick through it for as long as you want. Instead of losing the relationship. You choose to lose the issues you have with the situation and accept them as good enough as they are. Maybe you get lucky and it shocks them after awhile and they change and turn around and try 110 percent. It's not easy. But he did it. Took 2 extra years of patiently waiting for Any eventual progress. But it came. And they have been together again for several years now. So. If you choose to give up. You go the path you know of. But if you wanted to you could try another way and attempt to be fine with your effort alone. And see if they eventually change. No promises. Just offering the thought to ponder on.
