La symbolique de ne pas baisser sa garde, pour ce genre de personne en grave difficulté, me rappel beaucoup celle qu'il y a dans le téléfilm Baisers Cachés. Avec le personnage de Louis, qui depuis l'enfant refoule tous ce qu'il est, pour ne pas froisser son père homophobe, médecin, et boxeurs (qui apprend à son fils à ne pas baisser sa garde). Je trouve cette symbolique toujours aussi forte, et je trouve ça super qu'il y est des gens qu'il l'utilise toujours. Même si je n'aime pas du tout la boxe XD.

I did not understand a word that was spoken due to there not being an English translation, but Hate is so easy to figure out and Homophobia is very very easy to catch right away! I knew that man that followed the Fighter was not doing it because he hope to meet him, then photo and the rest did not surprise me, it made me cry when The Gym Owner/Trainer(?) yelled and wanted him out, but as in many "Shorts": I do not understand it all but it had a Happy ending but not sure why The Yelling man switch so fast. I can only quess and make my own ending. Is that the point? Hmmm
Hi there ! Let me help a little. I think the one you called the Fighter is the main character (he is called Ethan). I think the first scene doesn't need much explanation. The exhibition and their bedroom scene go together : we learn that Ethan's boyfriend is leading an event against a homophobic protest and he wants Ethan to participate. (A bit of context: this video was filmed at a time in France when the government was debating opening medical procreation to lesbians and that lead to huge protests. The protesters you see at the end of the videos are shouting slogans heard during the actual protests: "Daddy and mommy for every child, it is an evidence" and things like that). Since Ethan is not out to his dad yet and his dad will be among the protesters, he is hesitant but his boyfriend convinces him by giving him a mask (what Ethan write on the board in the morning means Yes, as an answer to his boyfriend question "will you be there with me ?"). Now the gym scene : we learn that the man you call the Trainer is actually Ethan's dad. So by giving him the picture, Ethan's rival not only outed him to his trainer, but also to his homophobic dad. The scene on the roof is mainly Ethan's friend telling him that his dad may have reacted harshly but he still loves him. After he vents to her, she finally tells him that he is a boxer : boxers take hits and get back up. The end should be a bit more understandable nox :) PS : I love how you named the characters
Got to laugh at the Google auto translate function. Apparently there should be a parrot in the story...and as men, beyond the pulpit, we are a bunch of bones.... It's a pity that posters or uploaders don't include English subs for a wider international community.
