Dingbear 65lb. Amazon. It’s cheap thick braid. I prefer it as it’s much more resistant to abrasion, it doesn’t nest up either. Best of both worlds for rough ground fishing

Thicker the better mate. Doesn’t bury itself. Get some cheap 4 strand it’s like rope. Still casts better than mono and the bite detection is 10x better mate

Hello mate. I think the footage is heading towards south stack if I remember correctly mate. I can’t be sure though as I do t know the area well mate.

It can be confusing around here as some places look the same plus the weird name places. The area is called Dinas Gyfor which is a few miles up the road from me and an old iron age hillfort which is the most northernly point in wales. If you do a search for the above or Porthwen Brickworks which is not far from there plus there is an old porcelain works there and further on you have Llanbadrig. From legend St Patrick of Ireland was shipwrecked there and lived there in a cave so they built a church above it which is still there today. It's the 2nd deepest fishing mark on Island with Carmel Head being the deepest which is 100feet deep within casting range of the shore. South Stack is around 10 miles or so further on as the crow flies. Thanks for replying and best of luck on your next session buddy.

Why won’t it go on mate? I have the exact same reel and I have braid on

Aye badly written on my part. The new spool will not go onto the reel. I have fiddled with it and it’s either a fake or for a different model. There are no markings on my reel - just surf blaster 8000.

@@robwilson7214 Ah ok I get you now. I had exactly the same problem and had to ring the Penn factory (down in Plymouth I think) and explained it doesn’t fit. I sent the spool back and they sent me a new one that went on no bother.

Aye it’s horses for courses mate. Most places off the rocks need no more than 60yrds iv found.

@@spartafishinguk helps to remember were they've placed the lobster pots in the past that are within reasonable range... worked the same way around Aberdeen... but it's more consitant in Northumberland . And closing in when the coalies disapear. Strange one is people fishin an ebb tide. You'd be lucky to get anything anywhere else.
