The ever-popular sand prawn is used by almost everyone at some stage.
Our preferred hook is the BKK SHARK 2/0 & 3/0, This hook is exceptionally sharp and super strong, did you know that the point of the hook is designed around the Great Whites tooth shape 😉, hence the name of the hook (SHARK).
Whether you are targeting Bronze bream and Galjoen in the Cape or targeting Stumpnose and Grunter in KZN. This bait is used to catch different species all along our entire coastline but can be used to target a specific species such as Spotted Grunter, White Steenbras (Pignose Grunter) or Belman/Tasslefish.
Here in the Western Cape, specifically False Bay. We are lucky to be able to catch a lot of species with this bait. Like Galjoen, big Blacktail Zebra, White Stumpnose, White Steenbras & Belman.
The daily limit is 50 per person per day, 50 sand prawns per person is a lot so rather only take what you will need.
