HEY PVP, baiwei is also KO'ing SS102, it will have more accessories, remolded legs and if you pre order it will come with a mini Noah just like the DNA kit
@@maxficarra8024 it doesn't has the DNA upgrade kit, instead they made their own upgrades Head is different The arms were bulked up to give him a better silhouette The left hand, cannon and blade are solid The blade is filled from the bottom The cannon is removable The hand is extremely articulated, wrist hinge, wrist swivel and each of the fingers are on ball joints
Honestly it's growing on me. And for those who don't want this but still want one for a cheaper price than the SS102, Baiwei is releasing two figures that match the appearance of the SS102 but has a cleaner rear truck mode than the original figure. Not 100%, but still done in a way to clear that deal breaker by 15%
It’s good to see as Baiwei continue making figures, they’re improving the QC. I wanted to pick up the DOTM Prime, but almost every review I watched had some breakage on camera. Ironhide was a massive improvement and this guy looks great.
I got mine the v.2 version of their ss optimus mold (the one that got normal plastic chest piece instead of clear and come with 2 sets of swords and chest) for around 3 months, it holds till now, they definitly up their qc
This thing is impressive. Not only the price point, i think the truck mode and also the bot mode is pretty much on point. Reminds a bit of the wfc Prime we got a few years ago, which also had a pretty flawless design. Speaking of KO, i really look forward to what they pull out next.
Wanna me to spoil you? If so, these are their next figures . . . . . . . . Lemon tree prime (the one you just watched the review of) "EX" bayverse prime DOTM shockwave ROTB Optimus prime ROTF Megatron ROTF Jetfire
An excellent alternative. I actually got the KO Dark Commander version (Nemesis Prime). Although, it only came with a blaster...but was only $15... . worth it 😁👍
As it turns out, you can actually extend the shoulders more outward aside from the hinges. I just found out now on my copy just by pulling them to the sides
Crazy how a KO is better engineered, and thought through than an official release. Very clever transformation, and the truck mode is clean. Robot mode despite the cheaper quality still nicely articulated with a great variety of weapons. Definitely a good option pricewise to either Bee movie Prime.
Of course its better engineered. They had someone already lay the foundation and didn't spend a massive amount of time on R&D stuff. These types comments are insane...
@Turbo.RF4 and most every third party isn't? But on a lot of third party versions they find better options for parts of transformation or add die-cast to add stabillity.
I think this blows 102 out of the water imo. I cant put it down. I do wish it was slightly bigger to match he height of ss102. 102 still has shoulder problems which makes it frustrating to pose. Looking forward to see how the BW TW-1030 Ko of 102 turns out.
When I heard about them upscaling Lemontree's OP I was excited. I have to say though, I'm disappointed with how the legs/Truck bed were modified. LT's had such a nice silhouette with the shins tucking into the bed. I had hoped with the improved size that they might actually improve upon it somehow instead of dumbing it down a bit. That's my only complaint though, and for the price point, one that didn't slow me down in the least from picking it up. The increased size makes transforming him a lot easier, especially getting all the tabs in the right slots. He's truly incredible, and the scale is much more suited to my collection than the original.
Took me a little while to realise this is a KO of the Lemon Tree Optimus. A shame they simplified the truck bed transformation as the Lemon Tree prime has the cleanest truck bed of any BB movie style Prime.
I had the studio series...i sold it and bought this instead....honestly no regrets. The engineeting and articulation are way better than the official release.
That was a hilarious image of Prime decapitating himself with the ion blaster. It reminded me of the ludicrous nonsense from the Predator movie with Thomas Jane, the scene where the "villain" does the same thing with the Predator's plasma caster he's mounted on his shoulder.
Ill wait for the Baiwei KO for the ss102, the black mamva one its pretty good. Great repaint of the grey parts for metallic silver. Compatible with the DNA Upgrade Kit. Ill wait for baiwei to release their official pics of their KO
@BatInDisguiseOFFICIAL So Hasbro is just gonna use the SS figure and put it into the mainline, or did you mean that they are gonna remold him and put him into mainline?
Funny thing, the SS-38's truck mode is inaccurate - looking like the Marmon 97, Optimus's Evasion Mode. While the actual Evasion Mode toy turns into what looks more like the FL86 Freightliner that G1 and BBM Prime turn into. Lol
Considering the price, it may surpass all the other T7 Optimus figures. In recent years, Hasbro does some insane cost control on the products like the BB102, which's car mode is fucked, and it just needs a few more components added on the leg to make it perfect, but they just fuck it, not the designer's fault, obviously.
This is a KO of the Lemon Tree 3rd party Optimus Prime figure which has a few more hinges and panels and has the cleanest truck bed of any of the BB movie style Primes. If you can still find the figure i highly recommend it. It even has LED light up titty windows for... reasons.
@@giantbonsai8950 I Found the review. I remembered I had seen the model review you mentioned, but some reviewers said it has some loose joints, so I didn't buy it. Thank you for your reply. I will try to look for it. By the way, my MM01 Optimus Prime 2nd version has just arrived. Try that, master piece~~3-zero class figure but still transformable.
I wonder if the accessories can be used with other Bee-era movie Primes? I'm growing tired of seeing arm cannons all the time but this guy's cannon accessory would look amazing with the Studio Series prime holding it up, and that holographic planet is a great addition.
I’d say my biggest issue with this was they couldn’t stick with one or the other. It should have been based on ROTB or BBM18 Prime not this middle ground
I see what you mean! It’s like they wanted to give us the best of both worlds. Like you said, they should’ve stuck with one design. Luckily both of them are quite similar tho
Gotta disagree with the 6:52 "plastic quality is on point" remark about the target Buzzworthy Prime. I only transformed him a couple of times and the blue leg parts are already showing white stress marks. Is it hard and solid plastic? Yes. Is it showing white stress marks and looking like it'll break eventually? Yes.
@@lesterantenor1026 The Target Buzzworthy Prime is a KO? Reading comprehension is not your strong suit is it? I even timestamped which figure I'm talking about.
I know that they did a few repaints on their Star Leader figure (KO SS 32/44 Optimus Prime) including a Nemesis Prime repaint in black and purple and a black and teal. I own the Pearl White and Blue repaint, and I absolutely love it. Solid, no loose joints, tons of blades to display it with...and it comes with a face changing gimmick.
@@Xolivas1 I have that one and he's way better then the SS figure. I just hope they do a ROTB Nemesis bc that mold is so much better then the BB version.
@@Xolivas1 I can definitely see this booming in sales due to the "Target Exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee Studio Series" (Wow that's a long ass title) Optimus Prime figure is hard to come by. I for sure would like a Nemesis repaint but I'd really like to see an Ultra Magnus redeco.
If you only want a rebootverse prime then okay, but if you want specifically the SS102 mold then you better wait, baiwei is also making a KO of him with more accessories, remolded legs and if you pre order you also get a mini Noah
I might have to pick up the Cybertron commander because the ss102 optimus is only available in target and goes for ridiculous prices on eBay the baweii even though it isn’t an official release it looks to be a solid figure to get if I can’t get the ss102 optimus
Baiwei only does movie toys unfortunately but hey, everything is possible, maybe they could give us some of those rare non-mocie SS toys like WFC prime and 86 grimlock
One thing I noticed with BAIWEI is usually in the launch of a new release they usually have a few issues but as new batches come in they fix the problems and make the figures almost perfect, that’s what they did for sentinel and ss32/44 cause the new batches of them figures are awesome
@@pravesh736 just plastic quality like ss32/44 Baiwei the first batches had flimsy/breakable plastic, not as much with sentinel but a lot with ss32/44 later batches solved the problem and corrected other, like ss32/44 originally had a clear plastic neck but was fixed on later batches to be like the actual figure
Hey there PVP. Why didn't you size compare this prime with the lemon prime it was modeled after? I would've thought that would've been the most obvious comparison. Also to hide the face I just turn the head backward.
While personally I prefer the SS38 version for a movie design, for a modernized G1 design (like in Earthrise,) I think this figure is BRILLIANT. One of the cleanest transformers I've ever seen at that scale class and price point. Looks incredible. BAIWEI is really making a name for themselves!!!
Plastic quality may not be as good but articulation is better. More accessories. Back of the truck is fas superior, rubber tires and alot cheaper. I would pick this over the official
I've left hasbro for good. KO items have been better in plastic, and material more then you think compared to hasbro. I am considering this one a lot. The Studio Series sucks.... which is not saying much from the past year.
The lemontree one was fun, but the proportions and details are lacking for me. He feels much more blocky and less realistic. But if people want something that's very G1 then this is probably a nice option.
cuanto te debe haber pagado hasbro para que le revientes cuetes al ss 102 ...saludos. EL KO se ve grandioso para el precio, mejor ingeieria que hasbro.
Not a third party guy but I wanted to see how this looked and if it was better than the official SS ROTB figure, but it's got all of those third party QC issues and I was hoping for a more interesting leg transformation and truck bed. You could get basically the same result as this on the official ROTB SS by just not transforming the legs.
Not that I care much about the front bars. Also, who´d want to take those wheel covers off? He is the Cybertron commander, he gotta sport that cybertronian looks. Will probably use the swords for other characters and get rid of the arm cannon, though. The ion blaster and axe are enough for me. Well, the hologram is nice too.
