Tbh I wouldn't say overhype as haven't had a main tf movie since the last knight that has a full cast of bots to follow the whole movie so its nice but getting some bayformers stuff is always nice
I just got this guy yesterday too and he's freaking awesome for the price. $24? that's cheaper than the Hasbro deluxe these days. The VERY inferior deluxe.
Are you refering to the transformers 2010 hunt for the decepticons deluxe ironhide because i think that deluxe toy does everything right than the studio series voyager toy did.

Baiwei's next SS KO is Bonecrusher, which completes their grocery list from last year (Sentinel, Ironhide and Bonecrusher). Can't wait for their next announcement, and my hope is for Brawl or Blackout KO or DOTM Megs since they also made the weaker 07 Megs 👍
@@myst3rixusl3ftb3hind And I hope they fix the original's lame colours and encased hands. Brawl is one of my favourite Decepticons from the 2007 movie but those issues were such dealbreakers for me. And that's a shame, cause the SS isn't bad at all... but I grey up with the original 2007 Deluxe Brawl, and while it's far from a flawless figure it had great colours and well sculpted hands, way better than the SS
Amazing review as always. It seems that BaiWei are always so close to perfection but just seem to barely miss the mark. Had they have added grey to the chest, knees, cannons and made the bumper black/dark grey, this would be the perfect figure. I do have a question though, does the vehicle gap filler for the “truck bed” work on the original? Just curious 😅
This is awesome. Speaking of other models they could improve, it would be cool if they could integrate the Matrix in the SS32 Optimus Prime's chest and longer pipes in truck mode, as well as get the wheels out of the way behind the hips, to allow better rotation of the waist.
3:18 While I agree that technically isn't big enough to be back kibble, the smooth "roof of the vehicle back" has always bothered me. (For ex. SS Hot Rod) I wish there was a way to flip it over or Invert it to reveal flat sculpted robot detail to remedy that, kinda like Peru Kill does that but nonetheless, the figure looks great. Nice review as always. If he hasn't changed from the SS version you can turn his head around when you transform him so that he's not peeking out of the windscreen like a giant headed toddler

Ironhide needs more love, we need both rotf and dotm Ironhide in ss. Rotf would be a slight repaint with sand on his robot and truck mode and slight re molding. Dotm would be him with his handheld guns.
My favorite version of this character is still the original leader class since all of the Weaponry was integrated into the transformation with no parts forming
@@cibs101007 yeah the original leader class figures even though they had some relatively weak posability their accuracy and often weapon integration was great. My favorite bumblebee was that leader class from that same movie
@@RenMatoi when I say parts for me I'm referring to when parts of one or both mode need to be need to be detached in order for 1 or more modes to be completed or when weapons have no vehicle mode integration and must be either set aside or tacked on the outside of the vehicle. If a Transformer is able to change modes without the removal other parts other than the weapons and the weapons are able to integrate seamlessly into one or both modes then it is not a Parts former
I have been DYING to see this review. After I saw ur Sentinel One, I decided to get it and oh my.....it was an amazing decision. I'll probably have to wait a while to get this guy because I kinda wanna save to get the ROTB and SS figs
I wish Baiwei gave their Ironhide figure an alternate face to have a battle masked face as a tribute to his battle mask from the 2007 transformers movie video game and the rotf voyager recon ironhide
Totally agree with you I highly prefer him to the MP In that sense, I would an oversized and enhanced version of him to fit with MP scale And regarding this figure I absolutelly don’t get why the bumper is silver…all the rest is perfect
Just ordered him on Amazon for 44 dollars :D Update: got him, and LOVE him so much! Althought, a few complaints - when transforming him, tabbing the doors into the truck is veryy hard - articulated toes are very fragile, 1 broke at the pin T-T - the shotguns handles are too thick for ironhide or any other transformer, need to be sanded down sadly
How noticeable is the translucent plastic on the forearms of the bawei ironhide? The initial promo pics made them look light grey and very noticeable. Thanks
They are not very noticeable at all. I could only tell they were like that in my studio because I have lights pointing from the back, side & front but in natural lighting it looks fine
If you own Studio Series The Fallen, you'll know its arms are made of very dark translucent plastic, but it's very sturdy and you'll notice the transparency only if light hits it in a certain way. This Ironhide's arms look pretty much the same, maybe slightly less dark but they overall blend very well with the normal black plastic
Love the video, this figure is outstanding. I was never able to get the original release. Hopefully, we get a ratchet, jazz, a decent size, bone crusher, and I would love to see a age of extinction hound, and the dark of the moon wreckers.
Be fast, I pre-ordered this guy before his release. He released a couple days ago and he's quickly selling out. Don't wait on it. The price is under $30. You can't lose.
I have to say, this ironhide is the best. I agree with the opinion of it plus ironhide was always my favourite auto bot. Anyway thx for the review I can now get a second chance in owning my most favourite transformers. U are a true hero man❤❤❤

Oh wow this figure looks excellent! I bought the original at MCM in 2018 I think, for £25. I customised mine and he looks dope now, but I'm wondering if I could take the DNA parts from this guy, like the bumper and feet, and incorporate them onto the original figure. What do you think? Is that possible?

Baiwei should do a ko Studio series ROTF Megatron reissue with the dna upgrade kit installed and a silver paint scheme deco and maybe an upscaled Voyager sized Studio Series deluxe Lockdown done in a voyager size with a removable back kibble and pack in his big face gun and some of his iconic accessories
Hey primevsprime, is the plastic on this Ironhide cheap like the baiwei Optimus? Like does the plaster feel too soft or does it feel like anything's going to break easily? Just wondering cuz I might get this figure.
