Can theoretically be possible, but on top of being devilishly hard it is gated by RNG in a lot of ways, due to the Tight Deadline pact. Sometimes you just wont get the right rooms/boons to clear in 20 minutes even if you were a Hades robot.

I've done a successful 32 heat run on my normal file, and said file appears to be at 90% + completion in regards to everything that isn't story related.( Story is at 100% as far as i am aware) so why not at this point?

If you don't understand what RNG manip is, it's essentially going to the end of a run and then use the give up button to replay it. You replay it in such a way that you trick the game into believing it is the same run, so you get a very similar choice of boons and options and you know which stuff will appear where. I hope everything else in comprehensible.

what thomas said. you start with 0, the mirror only lets you start with 4 and pick which type of die roll you get, then the pact gives you 0 to start, but you can still gain them

Hell Mode adds Personal Liability, a new 1 heat option, for 64 max total.

Unlikely, a few people have made some valiant attempts. Someone will get it some day, but it's incredibly challenging, mostly due to the timer. If not for the timer you could camp and survive for hours, but the 20 minutes makes it so you have to actually do good damage too

There are a few cues. He has boons from 6 gods which adds 25% due to family favorite and the 52% special buff from chaos. Rush delivery on hyper sprint gives 100% extra damage, and that nectar to bouldie does a bit of work as well. Cyclops jerky select also works on percentage buffs, as in this one from frost strike.

Hasn't been done yet, but Baj (the guy who did this run) has gotten very close a couple of times! Though he no longer plays the game, it's only a matter of time before some dedicated grinder pulls it off in my opinion.

m&k is miles easier than controller on this game. Being able to precisely aim independent of your movement is a game changer.

@@plsdontbanmeagainyoulibtards mouse aiming is just critical for a lot of weapons. Zeus shield special and all rail specials are chief among those. Some casts as well. Something to be said for the movement finesse of a stick of course. The best scheme is a hybrid. Use a mouse with extra side buttons for all necessary inputs and a controller stick for movement. Only the super simple weapons like fists really match up well vs M+K play via pure controller. Input complexity and fine aim control are not emphasized there. I hate seeing rail controller runs. The auto aim is so intense in Hades it's beyond helpful and into aimbot territory. Such a drop in skill level displayed. Then they can't finesse the special on top of that and have to use it exclusively tight to zag. Why controllers are the meta I'll never get.

​@@plsdontbanmeagainyoulibtards The keyboard is a plus too since linear switches helps a lot compared to controller, a lot of players use controller but only because of the smooth and precise movement for avoiding but limited by attack precision so getting used to mk is where it shines with a lot of practice. i started out on a laptop but was handicapped with the amount of space i have to move the mouse but when i picked up again on my desktop it's a game changer and gets easier too even turned off god mode, though i'm not confident yet for higher heat runs haha

Routing is very difficult and time consuming. If you just want to try out builds I'd recommend the Codex Menu Mod on NexusMods.

I'm guessing this is sarcasm? I mean he literally has the best possible build he could get. Like you couldn't pick and choose a better build for a max heat shield run. He's clearly really good, but you couldn't do this on skill alone.

This is a routed run, starting on a known seed and using RNG manipulation to steer the game towards optimal rewards. You can't get everything you want, it's still 64 heat, but it's pretty helpful, as you can see. Summoning is one of the forms of RNG manipulation.

I really hate seeing people saying this in these types of games. You're in the wrong genre if that's what you're aiming for. The whole point of roguelike is to adapt and survive in the unpredictability of each run.

@@Quyzbuk86 So what HE is doing is CONTRADICITNG WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ! He isn't adapting...he is doing exactly what I said devs should've given as an option after you beat the game their way. And I did that. But after I beat it, I couldn't be bothered to play the rng just to give everyone nectar and get Skelly's statues. The max you could die was 4 times. They guy in 2nd video dies maybe more than 20 times and dares to call it a world record. And in the video he says he took a long breather... but because timer stops in certain rooms, at the end there could still say for example 10 minute run. Which is anything but that.

What the actual fuck are you on about. The only thing I'm doing is admiring the 64 heat clear here, which is ludicrously difficult regardless of how much knowledge you have of what is to come, especially during the Hades fight. What I'm telling you on the other hand is to stop whining about roguelikes being what they are. I'm sorry the concept of setting your own difficulty is so overwhelming for you, but not everyone wants to play a genre, that is defined by no two runs being the same, in the exact same way over and over ad infinitum.

Not completely true, as this makes each boon reward 3x harder to find using RNG manipulation. It's not "free" to find which exact thing you want, and while making the route I had to make many comprimises for enemy/reward quality in order to keep it going. If you see chamber 1 has having 3x fewer seeds to use, and each subsequent chamber as having 3x fewer, that's 9x more chamber 2s you'd have as candidate options, 27x fewer chamber 3s, etc. You can compare this run/build to a low heat RNG manipulation route to see the stark difference in damage output caused by a combination of Approval Process and Convenience fee pact conditions
