Welcome to Season 4! Our Baja Mexico #Vanlife Series. We are Wiley & Dre and in this series we take our Van, Uhuru, and our Siberian Husky, Maisha international to Baja, Mexico. This season we wanted to explore some uncharted territory in our van and cross international borders for the first time!
Today's video we take you to the Mexicali border that was suppose to be the easiest border to cross when going into Baja. We quickly got flagged to pull over and spent 45 minutes getting our van searched. With a mix of broken English and Spanish on both sides we did our best to answer all of the border patrol officers questions but they still seemed to think we had something to hide. At one point we had 4 officers inside of our rig pull and tugging on things. It was a stressful situation but finally after 45 minutes we were pushed through and able to begin our Baja adventures.
Our first stop in Baja is a small fishing village location on the sea of cortez, San Felipe. Happy to be in warm weather and enjoying the local cuisine it didn't take long for us to realize going to Baja was just what we needed.
