This new manufacturing plant is seen by Bajaj as the first step toward Chetak's rich history. Considering that Akurdi is where the enduring Chetak brand was first created and took shape. The Chetak brand came from Akurdi and went on to revolutionise the Indian scooter market for a number of generations.
