Hey #PDArmy, We were a bit tight on time to meet the embargo for the Freedom 125, so we went with HD instead of 4K to save a couple of crucial hours. We'll be back to 4K for the next video. Thanks for understanding!
@@carswithkaran agree - but unlike an ICE if you are out of juice in middle of your journey . Getting to nearest charging station and also getting charge quick enough to move to home or office is still challenging . Here you can take an auto to the next bunk and pick up a litre of fuel and move on .
@@sierralimaa People will remained prepared with that eventuality as they are already used to carrying battery operated devices such as mobile phones and laptops. Furthermore, battery swapping stations will be set up to facilitate the rapid swapping of battery packs.
bro dont worry Those guyss who worry are such great people in chasis engineering teams that they are blessed by lord Vishwakarma himself do engineering They are far better in all of this than Mercedes and Porsche's teams Bless their heart and soul to come to such a lowly platform like youtube and give their engineering opinion They are doing god's work you know educating us lowly mortals
I guess the concern here is, bike are much more likely to fall down. Accidents can happen but i think if you arent really confident enough that you will not fall or make mistakes by your own, you shouldnt be riding anyway😅
@@roccoo7198bajaj knew and released videos of crash tests of this bike, where it was seen going through very tough tests and crashes and nothing happened. So its really nothing to worry about.
I think if ducati releases a 500 cc cng bike then most people would stand and applaud because videshi Brand ka thappa. But since an Indian Brand has taken a bold step towards this invitation, people (here,Indians) would not think twice before bad mouthing this product. 😂
Keeping the CNG argument aside. Is it a good motorcycle for bajaj to do a full petrol variant. I mean why not. Maruti has petrol only and CNG version of same car. This bike looks like a modern rajdoot.
i don’t think its as easy as it is in cars - because in a bike, the CNG tank will surely be altering how pretty much everything around it is placed and engineered, versus in a car the tank is just plonked in the boot
Never clicked on a video so fast. The best part of this video was that it's so well written and structured that the moment I had a question pop up in my head - Karan addressed it in the next segment lmao. Although the Freedom might not offer a substantial benefit over it's petrol counterparts in range or ease of refueling, I believe it opens a lot of doors for innovations and we might someday actually see them surpassing petrol bikes (if the government doesn't decide to capitalise on CNG hype and jack up the prices which they've been doing steadily)
Running cost definitely EV is better. But the EV service centers are stealing the saved money in the name of changing fault spares. Seeing lot of complaint on X regarding service bills of EV.
9:06 wrong. At least partially. Cng and lpg are different, but both can be used for cooking. Although there may not be an adaptor or regulator or means to connect with the stove. So please make sure to fact check what you say.
he did not say CNG can't be used for cooking. All he said was LPG was different from CNG. the CNG fuel should be going straight to fuel injector. So, there isn't going to be a factory fitting direct application for cooking. We might need to do an after-market fitment to support our cooking needs
I had all such questions and mathematics problems when I bought my CNG car, but the simple maths is every 500 rs CNG I fill I save 500 rs on petrol, which I am happy about. Same formula apply here..Though I lose all my boot space, with freedom we don't have to lose any storage space.
For your info budget economy class do not fill taknk fully everytime they visit the pump station so bajaj were not too impracticle when they thaught of such rang
Likes the perspective of the video but can you cover more. Like a Office goer doing Monday to Friday job covering 50kms daily and on Weekends for home and sometimes with friends averaging usage of 75 kms then is it a good buy?
Question, so the math you showed was sorta general right? suppose a user keeps minimum petrol and runs it primarily on CNG alone, won't the savings gap widen even further? It might work out to be much cheaper right? running costs I mean.
All ok but all youtubers are missing on bajaj's tremendous service department part.. the service centre guys have very less knowledge on problem solving on petrol engines then just imagine what would happen to cng engines biggest fear is service department not CNG tank blast😂😂
@@powerdriftofficial yes that's true but you guys have to consider about service department of the brand it's very important and without proper mechanical knowledge about the bike in service department is a nightmare to the owner
The per km cost is the average of both petrol & cng , and if you're considering 40 km per day, people will be using cng for 95% of the time. A bit unfair maths if you ask me.
PD is getting 102/kg at the rate of INR 80/kg the cost comes out to be a mere INR 0.78/km, a whole rupee less than shine. Taking INR 20,000 difference b/w shine and freedom, within 20000km the cost will be recovered. Which is 500 days (1yr 4 months) at 40km/day. Economical IMO
The product is so well thought out by Bajaj group. The target customers, price, practicality, positioning everything about it is so flawless. Mark my words it will disrupt the market and the competition.
I think its a very good option, if someone drives 70-80Kms a day He need to fill CNG on the 3rd day. Imagine 80% of his ridership is on CNG. And if their is good infrastructure around. Then its less than Rs 1 per km which is very economical. Much more in Delhi Because CNG prices are Rs 75 perkg
Poll: Should Bajaj introduce cng in low mileage bikes? Like the 250/400 cc ones? They typically give 25-30kmpl An increase in mileage in those bikes by 30% may actually increase sales Provided they dont dent their performance like they claim here Even budgets of those segment customers would be more flexible unlike commuter segment ones
The EVs are still more expensive and impractical to use for long distances. I believe this could work in most places if it offers more value. If more CNG fueling stations are opened or added to existing petrol stations in rural areas, this will be very successful. In my childhood, during many years in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, a place known for vehicle customization, I saw a person who fitted a CNG tank onto the crash guard of a Splendor using an aftermarket CNG conversion system. So, it seems that people are already receptive to this idea.
Great idea, execution, and to be honest, they have actually come up with a product that looks solid from the get go. But I agree with every single counter point made in this video. And I agree with these points because I am probably not the target audience for this bike. However, I am going to watch how this space shapes up and MAYBE bring this bike home one day 🙂
"Time is money" ok good. How about compare with EVs , they take a lot more time to charge. Yes, this CNG bike is good for delivery guys. And it takes a little more time to fill CNG, but it is a lot better than EVs.
sure, EVs take time to charge but for most people, they can do other ‘work’ while it charges (for example charging it at night at home or in the afternoon at office) - that’s far more convenient which is why i said if the work itself is riding and to do it cheaply, CNG makes more sense
@@carswithkaran are you the guy in the video? If so, Greetings, This notion about charging bikes at home is not very suitable if you live in apartments and even if you have your own house, it becomes like a night duty to daily plug your vehicle at night, and if suddenly the next day some unexpected work comes for which you have to ride more than the range of the Ev then you are screwed! But on the other hand this thing will not stop you for more than 15-20 mins or at max 30 mins at any time. Thats why i said , if time is money then this cng bike is far far better than ev two wheelers.
Getting a full tank costs 550bux and with a range of 300 how many times would one need to visit the fuel station? Hardly once in 10 days and that's the USP. I guess there should be an entrance exam before anyone can start such an incompetent petrol funded RU-vid channel.?
But the 'fuel tank' only goes 120kms and the CNG tank goes about 200. A 10L tank on an ICE can easily do 600-700. Also, double the range on an ICE means less number of visits overall. Your math ain't mathing!
@@carswithkaran thats what a rational mind will think of but hear me out on this. The CNG companies are cash rich and a lot of them are coco pumps. It is easy to put in additional dispenser on most of the pumps. Moreover, i have checked CNG stations with my cng 4wh, there are no queues as such. The visuals and presumptions of long queues are at least half a decade old
The only missing buy decision feature is the absence of Dual Channel ABS. Hope the CNG N160 would suffice this element or freedom 2025 would have DC ABS
Is it a BS6 engine, BS6 engines need atleast 1.5 liters of petrol in the tank , if not fuel injectors fail, but in this bike petrol capacity is 2 litres, what is the situation when 1 litre petrol has gone when riding only on petrol if cng is over, how can the engine handle if it a BS6, if it is not BS6 how it got permission from the goverment.
Companies advices customers to keep atleast 1.5 litre petrol but it's not like without 1.5 fi fails... Go and ask all the scooter riders. They have bs6 fi scooters.. For instance i have activa 6g scooter and never bothered to check how much petrol left in tank because tank is so small but in my 2 years of usages nothing happend in fi till date and one can't keep 1.5 litre petrol in a 4 litre fuel tank.. 😅
Glad that you covered the important bits and niggles instead of overhyping on new tech. The exact thought I had about time. If you are saving few rupees per km but having to take on much more hassle than a normal motorcycle, is it even worth it.
Thought of booking this but booked a petrol engine as my first bike because I don't want to be a lab rat at service centers which was the case with the recent adoption of FI Engines for commuters. Let the technicians get complete hands on about this bike and then will buy it as my second.
Very good alternative for daily City (like Bengaluru, Hyderabad etc.) commute and delivery related work. Not at all meant for outside city or rural areas where finding CNG can be challenge.
I have a suggestion for the PD Team: why not also mention the specifications and details of the vehicle in the video description for a quick look or for comparing models/trims while watching the video? #JustAThought
This is indeed uncharted territory for Motorcycles. Last-mile cargo delivery or Delivery Boys with micro cargo would still prefer Electric Bikes. They can be easily charged at night while the boys rest. Not to mention, the cost to charge up an electric bike is still cheaper than filling up 2 Liters of Petrol and 2 Kg of CNG. Then comes the time factor. Will Delivery Agents spend a considerable time filling up CNG at crowded pumps? While some may entertain Bikes, others may ask riders to get in the queue, which is painfully serpentine. Lastly, some electric bikes have swappable batteries. This completely avoids the long recharge times. PS: Electric Bikes are not only easier on the Pocket to recharge, they are also fast and quiet. The only deterrents would be a high initial cost of ownership and battery replacement in the future.
Brother no delivery boy ride 330 kms a day. And also for delivery boys EV is a nightmare coz there's no ev in india that fullfill the range that delivery boys expect. Imagine a delivery boys ride 100kms a a day and suddenly one day he had to ride 120 or 130 kms. He'll be fu**ek up coz there's no go back in EV. But in this he can easily fill up petrol and return back to home. Even in petrol it give above 60 km which is above average in indian market.
Ye bike bahut bikegi magar uske liye company ko logo ka bharosa jitna hoga, uske liye ak to ye announcement krni hogi ki agar chlte vakt bike ka cylinder fata ya koi hadsa hua to checking ke baad 1 crore ka mhuavja parivar ko diya jayega, or dusra- iske cylender ke sath kiye gaye sabhi test sabhi ko dikhane honge, cylender ko 0" se 60" temperature ke sath har tareeke se test krke or is par load dalkr dikhana hoga, tab jakar logo ka bharosa jeeta ja sakega or ye bike sabse jyada bikne wali bike banegi. Agar aisa nhi kiya to ye flop jayegi
It is not launched in Kolkata yet. But if I consider Kolkata this machine has no point. Here we have total 6 CNG pump. And mostly if they have CNG available there will be a huge queue of cabs. They spend 2 -3 hours in the queue to fill CNG. I will never spend 3 hours filling CNG instead get a petrol bike fill in petrol & leave for your work. The Zomato boys do not even follow traffic signals to deliver the products fastest. Why Bajaj thinks they have the patience to wait in a CNG pump's queue.

powerdrif is loose when it comes to understand practicality. todays sports even semi cruiser bike lime hunter , ronin even normal city sports bike doesn't even offer long seats & with indians with their ladies. with booties. Mt15's small seat shines like a star & we still don't even care & even Bajaj offers it.
