The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is powered by 199.5cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 24.13 bhp and a torque of 18.74 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Pulsar NS200 bike weighs 159.5 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters.
Bajaj Auto has launched the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, rivalling 2023 Pulsar NS200 in the Indian market. The 200cc motorcycle benefits from updated hardware and improved rider aids.
The biggest change on the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is the addition of upside-down front forks instead of the conventional telescopic units on the previous version. Meanwhile, the suspension setup at the back continues to use a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Apart from the suspension setup, Bajaj Auto has also revised the rider safety net. The 2023 Pulsar NS200 now comes with a dual-channel ABS as against a single-channel unit. Lastly, Bajaj Auto has revised the instrument cluster on the 2023 model, and the updated display shows information about the fuel economy along with a gear position indicator. The layout, however, retains a semi-digital console that comprises an analogue tachometer along with an LCD.
The changes are limited to the upgrades mentioned above. Meanwhile, the styling remains unaltered, and the 2023 Pulsar NS200 continues to feature a single-pod headlight with twin DRLs, matching graphics for the headlight cowl, a fibre fuel tank with a 3D logo and shrouds that give the unit a muscular look, split-style seats, a two-piece pillion grabrail, an underbelly exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The colour choices include four options - Metallic Pearl White, Glossy Ebony Black, Satin Red, and Pewter Grey paint themes.
Similar to the design, the mechanical specifications remain unchanged as well, and the 2023 Pulsar NS200 continues to use the 199cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with four valves and three spark plugs. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine produces a maximum output of 24.1bhp at 9,750rpm and a peak torque of 18.7Nm at 8,000rpm. Do note that this motor is OBD2-ready and has all the necessary hardware.
The feature list includes a halogen headlight with twin DRLs, conventional-style turn indicators, backlit switches, and an LED taillight. Also, as mentioned earlier, the motorcycle now gets a dual-channel ABS instead of a single-channel unit on the previous version.
The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is available in a single variant and comes standard with a dual-channel ABS. It rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Hero Xpulse 200T 4V in the Indian market.
Bajaj Pulsar 220 Summary
Bajaj Pulsar 220 F is a bike available in only 1 variant and 4 colours.Pulsar 220 F price starts at Rs. 1,38,157 in India. The Bajaj Pulsar 220 F is powered by 220cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 20.11 bhp and a torque of 18.55 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Bajaj Pulsar 220 F comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Pulsar 220 F bike weighs 160 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 15 liters.
After discontinuing the Pulsar 220F in India for a few months, Bajaj Auto is all set to bring back the motorcycle in the market. It has already started arriving at dealerships and select dealers are even accepting bookings for the bike. These might be indications that the official launch of the Pulsar 220F isn’t too far.
Bajaj had discontinued the Pulsar 220F in 2022 to make way for the new-age 250cc Pulsars in Bajaj’s portfolio. However, the demand for the 220 certainly hasn’t deteriorated, especially in some parts of the country like the Southern region. Now, whether Bajaj will introduce it in select markets or across India is something not yet confirmed.
As can be observed from the spy images, Bajaj hasn’t executed any visual changes to the bike. It continues to sport a half-faired design with a huge front fascia, a muscular fuel tank, and a long tail with a split-type seat. In terms of features, it will expectedly be the same as the previous bike with an LED projector headlamp, LED tail lamp, semi-digital console, and a 15-litre fuel tank.
The engine and hardware package of the Pulsar 220F will also probably be the same. It is powered by a 220cc, oil-cooled engine that produces 20.11bhp and 18.55Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Suspended on telescopic forks up front and old-school dual springs at the rear, the Pulsar 220F rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. Bringing this 160kg machine to a halt is a single disc at both ends accompanied by a single-channel ABS setup.
