This was the final product of our collaborative animation class this quarter. The concept has evolved a lot since our first pitch meeting, and everyone is very happy with the story we built together!

Or maybe he knew that the wolf was gonna die because he does hover around the dead people. Leading to the sheep. And knowing that the wolf was GOING to the sheeps house, he knows he's going to die, and he never tried to stop the sheep, because he might die doing so.

Lovely details for foreshadowing. The urn of eyeshadow powder labeled 'Leo' just before she caresses his portrait, the duct tape and rope on the kitchen countertop, the spider lily on the side table beside the front door, and the still-empty pie crust at the end of the cooking montage.

It was way too similar to Morticia Addams’ makeup scene where she used the ashes of her dead parents as makeup for me not to notice.😅 Plus, no one labels eye shadow or puts it in an urn like that.

One thing that I love about this is that in actuality there's technically no true "herbivore" and that, given the opportunity, "herbivores" eat meat and vice versa for carnivores. Albeit rarely as far as I know, so I like this kind of twist!

Interestingly, plants are much harder to digest than meat. A lot of carnivores can digest some plant matter if they can’t find meat, but basically all herbivores can eat flesh if they want to. There’s an outbreak of chronic wasting disease in American deer right now, and it is suspected that opportunistic cannibalism may be the root cause. The illness can also be spread through ingestion of waste products, but cannibalism is a sure fire way to get infected and the epidemic is huge.

And there are no carnivores more meat oriented than a plant...I mean, why do they grow so well where things died? They eat their own leaves and decomposed matter with more dead meat or waste are a favorite of plants. Like that one fellow said it best, we are being harvested by plants.

Obligate carnivores and herbivores do exist, but obligate herbivores are INCREDIBLY rare to find Obligate carnivores are animals like cats :) (dogs are omnivorous but mainly eat meat and benefit from a meat-heavy diet)

So many details about this, The fact that she's using the lion's cremated ashes as eyeshadow, one of the pictures turning into a missing poster, the wolf buying flowers that are usually used to decorate a funeral, the part where the sheep gets a hacksaw instead of ground meat, the driver being a vulture, so many clever details. 11/10 film IMO Edit: I also noticed a deer head mounted over her bed at the beginning

I can imagine that she tried to relax with him at first. flirting, small talk, etc. then she said something about putting the pie in the oven and got him a drink while he was waiting. She probably drugged him so he wouldn't scream later. After the drug took effect, she tied him up and started to cut him up alive.He was too drugged to scream for help. She probably went for a vital organ first anyway. Then by the time it was night, she had her pie.

i love the detail that you can hear the subtle change in the music only on the sheep's part, for example at 0:29 and 1:01. It's innocent enough, but it really puts you on edge and makes you think that something is not right here

I remember a time there was a documentary about an evasive bird species that was slowly declining and the reporters just found out that a herd of sheep came across each day to eat the chicks. Ahh Nature is a wonderful thing.

Damn, you guys really went with the idea of "wolf in sheep's clothing" to an interestin direction!!! I honestly love how it was done. By showing the contrast between the wold and sheep's personalities trying to make it seem like the wolf was gonna kill the sheep. Especially with the hints of things like missing posters throughout the short. But then the ending... well damn, it subverted this all well. And then the animation and art direction just adds onto it!!! Overall, this is a really simple, but great short film!!!

I always love a wolf in sheep's clothing idea, and this one was executed flawlessly! The character designs, the backgrounds, the sound design, and the reveal was all amazing! Also I love that a vulture/buzzard was the taxi driver, since they're really good at finding dead meat, having him deliver the wolf to the doorstep of a killer was such a great detail!

Fun fact - sheep aren't obligatory herbivores. They can and will eat meat. Any farmer can tell you stories of how sheep devour chicks, ducklings and sometimes even occasional rats, snakes and small birds.

Is no one gonna talk about the subtleness of the peace lilies, cause that was AMAZING symbolism❤❤ (For people who don’t know- one of the symbolisms of the peace lilies is death, and remembrance. Which is one of the reasons it’s popular with funerals)

I love that the bouquet he brings her is all Calla Lilies. Lilies represent death and beauty, and are very common funerary flowers while them being white represents purity, and innocence. I enjoy the little nod towards the true nature of sheep as the wolf, by bringing her flowers, is walking into his own death.

I have a feeling this is supposed to be a sheep clothing kinda thing, but after learning sheep not only eat baby birds and bunnies out of burrows, but they also will go out of their way to kill something to eat it, this feels pretty sheep worthy

Bravo! I was on edge the whole time wondering where this would go! "Was she going to feed the wolf to her _real_ boyfriend, the lion?" "Will he take advantage of and kill her?" "Is she a serial killer?" "Wait, that's a lot of posters!" So much lovely detail to speculate on on the first watch and fully take in and admire as foreshadowing on rewatches!

Such things are generally possible by picking victims carefully, and the apathy of poorly run police. I remember from my psychology class in High School that serial killers can be in disbelief when interviewed in prison they kept getting away with it, talking about close calls.
