I have now tested the W3 for a month. It is excellent and probably better than watches costing many times more.It arrived in about 2 weeks, no problems. The O2 sats are measured by reflection, and about 2 points higher than those measured with an accurate transmission oximeter over the normal range. The BPs are maybe 10 points off. The sleep analysis is better than on my Fitbit watch. The HRV is an excellent added feature. While the O2 sat absolute values are slightly off, the ups and downs of the trendline appear accurate. Steps are accurate. HR is accurate. In interfaces well with my iPhone 12 pro. I seriously doubt Apple or other pricey watches are significantly more accurate. All in all, a great deal for the money!
Thanks for all your reviews! I'm new to smart watch but very active and monitor my health closely, from your reviews I ordered 3 watches lol This one, Bakeey W3, for health monitoring at night as I have some sleep disorder that me and my doctors are trying to diagnose. The Bakeey E66 band for my right hand during daytime monitoring. Finally the Amazfit T-Rex for my gym workout and outside run and sports. I think I should be covered for hmmm the next 2 years lol
Sounds like a very good selection. You're one of the few who realize it's just not possible to get everything in only one watch and that you do better with 2 or 3 specialty watches. Enjoy your new hobby!
I got this watch as a gift and I have liked it. I’m getting the order number so I can try to get a replacement button, which fell off a long time ago. I watched your video and I am amazed and shocked at all the things it can do that I didn’t realize. However, searching online, I can’t find much information about this watch. Is it even sold anymore? I’m so confused.
Great job reviewing the features. Very informative, as always. This unit looks like it checks many of the boxes I've been hoping to see. What is your opinion on the best health tracking device (watch or band format) considering the following prioritized wishlist: Ecg BP Spo2 with red LEDs Temperature Hrv Screen Amoled Bluetooth v4.2+ Magnetic Charger Thank you!
Sorry, such a magical watch doesn't exist yet. You lost me at temperature in your wishlist. Check out the video I'm putting up tomorrow comparing the E66 and W3. You need them both, and still won't have Screen Amoled or a magnetic charger.
@@SWT Yes, I figured my wishlist was overly optimistic and not all the features would be available in one device. That was why I listed the features in order of importance. Great job on today's video and the creative idea to leverage two devices to cover all the health bases! I'll go back and watch your detailed videos on the Spoven and the E66.
Thanks for your great videos. I saw on banggood that the underside of the watch is different than on your videos. Is banggood selling a different watch as seen in your video?
Spovan Blade allows you to attach the monitoring module to your chest for continuous ECG. That feature is not on the W3. Otherwise they are basically identical and share the same sensors and measuring techniques.
As of 15 August 2020, H 2 app is available from the Play Store. I know because I just received my Spovan band and downloaded both H & H2 apps and both are functional.
You mean H Band, right? H Band 2 has been discontinued, so if you have it installed, don't delete it! You can actually run both H Band and H Band 2 on the same phone and have them linked to different watches/bands, but with only one app, you would need to change connection between the watches/bands.
Hi sir, I bought this watch a second hand without user manual, how can I connect it to RU-vid and also what's the name to download it on play store? Please
No, sir - - I mean H band 2. I just checked at 1:09 PM EST on Monday 17 and it is in the Android Play Store. As I said, I downloaded it 2 - 3 days ago and have been using both H & H2 band apps on my phone.
Ah, I see what you mean. Now the apps have different owners, so the H Band 2 is under separate management. Thanks for the update. Glad to see it back in the Play Store.
In your opinion, which watch will give a more accurate ECG - - - the Bakeey W3 ECG or the Spovan Blade ? Or is there a watch/band that you have reviewed that is the most accurate ECG ??
From what I can tell, they use the same ECG module so the charts should be basically identical depending on fit of electrodes and possible movement during measurements.
I have bought this watch after seeing your great review, since now it's wonderful, and thank you. I only have one question, how to calibrate this smartwatch to measure the correct blood pressure?
Calibration is done in the app. Find out your normal average blood pressure, say 130/90 for example, then put that in as your default and the watch will use that baseline rather than the typical 120/80.
I have a round shape watch (lemfo lem 12), now I am finding square face. Is that available? And one more question- what is the accuracy of ECG and blood pressure?
There are lots of square watches available, but not with the features of this one. I haven't tested the accuracy of these watches, just introducing them to you guys to explore on your own. Try this search: ru-vid.comsearch?query=square%20android%20watch
Hello, great video. I'm considering this watch but I noticed when I looked it up on different sites that the button is a different style, it's flat and doesn't have the red ring. I was wondering if the one you reviewed is a pre production model or are the ones on Ali Express and banggood fake ones.
Interesting observation, J Scott Ellis. In addition, it looks like they have solved a grounding problem and may be using only one electrode plate on the back instead of two (it's an new technique). There also appear to be three red diodes as opposed to only one in my review unit. As a result of all that, I've requested they send me a new one to examine, and, if truly significantly different, I'll do a followup video. If it turns not the button is the only difference, I'll give a mention in the show notes and let the current video stand. Either way, I hope they will send one and we can figure this all out. This is too good a watch to just let this pass unchecked. Thanks for your keen eye for detail!
Hello, I just ordered this watch tomorrow It's a great watch But i have a Problem I don't have sleep mode turned on in this watch All other modes are on Only sleep mode is not on
Hey, really nice review. Can you tell me what is a good (or best :) ) watch with ECG, measuring sleep apnea and other things the watch in this video has, but at a humanly price :) As far as i'v seen this one it's really good.
Two things. I've got a playlist for you that has all of them on the market: ru-vid.com/group/PLGZLicZ6A2vXBqaqdhcx4KodhglwbhBEs and I'm reviewing a new one soon: bit.ly/3m0YXhO (pretty much identical to the Spovan Blade) And this one too: bit.ly/2Fue43K (pretty much identical to the W3 with a different bezel)
Concerning the white peaks below the heart rate graph, I believe that is the "Amount of Exercise" (as noted at the bottom of the chart) performed. Although I would guess that it may be the "intensity" of exercise.
I believe the Bakeey P8 is more accurate in heart measurements, but I wish they also had the ability to make calls with the microphone in order to answer. What do you suggest me?
Sadly, you will need two different watches if you want phone call capability on a watch. Because these health watches have very weak fitness functions, you might consider a full fitness watch with Bluetooth calling to supplement the W3 or P8.
I just received this watch and it does not have the blood pressure screen and can't figure out how to change the weather from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Any help or tips with these issues?
That's odd. It should have blood pressure. Not sure why yours wouldn't have it. It's there in the review unit. These watches typically only support Celsius for temp. Only newer Android watches show both.
Yes, the coupons are usually good for 2-4 weeks after release of a new video to spur sales while the model is new. After 3-6 months, unless the product is doing week, they typically liquidate the stock and discontinue selling it. Watch technology changes so fast that you need to act within a pretty tiny window to get the best deals. For me, the vibration has been strong enough to wake me, most of the time. I try and peek at the time when it happens so I can confirm with the time on the blood oxygen chart in the morning. If I have 5 events, I usually and aware of 3 of them. It's just something you'd need to try for yourself, I guess, as it depends on how deep a sleeper you are, etc.
I see a lot of potential with this watch but the only thing that keeps me from buying it is the display. It seems that it has a square display inside a round body. Shame I was going to buy it.
Well, it's the only thing on the market that does all this, including the ability to remotely initiate these readings from within the app. If putting up with a square display in a round watch is a show stopper for you, then sadly, you'll be missing out on all these great features. Of course, you can get them all in the Spovan Blade with a tiny rectangular display forced into a band format if that's better for you.
Nice useful review! I have same smartwatches and Sleep on the watches always shows "No data" and never updates. When I long press the Sleep, I can hear long buzz signal, but nothing changes. Do I miss something to enable sleep monitor?
I need your help. It would be best to take any bracelet related to health. My favorite list is E66 smart bracelet & Skemi w3 smart watch. Which of these two information would be correct or if you have a smart bracelet out of my choice, please let me know. I look forward to your cooperation.
Do you have a link to H Band support? I can’t use my old account and can’t create a new one. When resetting my password or trying to create a new account password, I only get a message to enter a valid password 6-20 characters long. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Your choice. Spovan Blade has a chest mount so you can wear the band on your chest for extended ECG. You can't do that with the W3, but it's a nice looking watch as opposed to a fitness band look.
@@SWT thank you for your reply. What about in terms of accuracy and reliability from personal use? (not including the chest mount in comparison). I wanna get one for my father.
Hi Mr.Ticks , many thanks for the reply....does any of the ECG watches allow you to take an ECG on the watch , then read the report on the gone at s later time as my W3 just gives you a green 'good' sign at the end of a watch initiated ECG?...thanks advance in advance!
I know you are a positive type of reviewer but you did not mention that the screen is not actually "round" anywhere in the vid... The timeout problem is really bad with all the watches so far, and it is an issue as I buy these for nurses and they need to be able to see the time without having to tap the screen (nothing like CPR when you have to stop to tap the screen, one and two and ohhh hold on...) Anyway, that is why I asked about the always on and wrist movement reviews as being very important. Thank you for your reviews, they do make it easier to figure out which ones are keepers.
Oh my goodness loosingmymemory7, I've made an entire Playlist of watches that offer always on screen technology. Have you looked over our home page at smartwatchticks.com ?? You'll see a "Playlist" button there. In that area you'll see the results of dozens of hours of work I've put in trying to separate all these watches into meaningful categories, one of which is -- More Smartwatches with "Always On" Displays. Here, let me show you what it looks like: ru-vid.com/group/PLGZLicZ6A2vU3ZcO5VGSofo0il1jKLmzG Some are the earlier Android watches that implemented "Always Time" screen technology, and others are the less fancy ones. Some have the backlight on all the time and others rely on the reflected light in the room (or bright outdoor sunshine) to see the screen. In your situation with nurses, I would recommend taking a close look at the SG2 because the always on feature is backlit and would serve them well indoors. Besides, it's way cheaper that the look-alike Galaxy Watch Active line, especially for the basic function of checking time. SG2: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b6votS2ajUY.html As for square or round display, to me that is obvious from looking at the review, so I didn't mention it. Sorry.
@@SWT Yes, I grabbed the SG2 from dhgate. I think you misunderstood I was thanking you for the reviews, I don't have time to watch all of them but so far you've given me a good idea of which ones have that problem and which ones don't. So good work, my thanks. 👍
No problem. I often answer so others reading as well get something that can help answer the same questions, hence the instructions on how to search for Playlists.
No, I don't check the accuracy on them. I just review what they can do. See the disclaimer at the bottom of the show notes under the video for more information.
Genesis by far. Wear it all the time and actually use it outdoors for photos! Got some great shots, too. Many are posted here: tiny url.com/androidwatches
@@SWT Hi, looks like a real find, are there already first insights on this interesting watch? Any reason not to buy it? Is the small ECG contact area on the side a big drawback? Is the WoFit App comparable to the H-Band app? Sorry for the many questions, for sure, I eagerly await your review. Seems the watch is not yet available at Banggood.
Hey, mr.tics for sleep monitor are we need to press to activate or its just automatic..coz on my apps its say "not data"..btw its second days i have used the device..
It's automatic starting at midnight until you wake up from what I understand. By mid morning, like around 9 or 10 AM it should be ready to send everything it collected to the app. Make sure you are tethered, put a few steps on it and not the pedometer reading. After it updates make sure the number of steps on the app matches with the phone, then you now it synced OK. If you still don't see the rest of the data, swipe down on the app screen to force another sync. Good luck!
I got the W3 as shown in the video. I have I phone 11. The watch arrived promptly and I downloaded the HBand app. However, ONLY the step count syncs with the app. No other data appears on the app. Very disappointed. Am I missing something here?
Correct. Apple will not allow the connection of 3rd party apps for the more advanced data transfer. It's a restriction of the Apple ecosystem, which is why most folks switch to Android who want anything beyond a basic phone.
It's just a tap/tap&hold type interface, so if you overshoot something you need to tap-tap-tap around to get to it again. I've got a similar one in function but with a better UI called the GT2 you might want to check out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Riv8fjmDoO0.html
I haven't reviewed the R7, so I don't know for sure, but for most watches you need to install the recommended app to your phone, then make sure Bluetooth is turned on, and pair the watch through the app.
Not waterproof. The link to the tethering app is in the show notes under the video. Check out these as well: ru-vid.com/group/PLGZLicZ6A2vXBqaqdhcx4KodhglwbhBEs
I know this is not related to this watch but need your help again, is there any other app besides wiwatch2 to connect my Thor 4 because wiwatch2 is not getting notifications and is useless ,thanks
Only real early versions of wiiwatch might tether, but no other tethering app will connect. They have an exclusive across all Android smartwatches. So dive into wiiwatch2 and make sure you have notifications activated. Try uninstalling and reinstalling and follow all the prompts and give all the permissions. It should work just fine with your Thor 4.
No, this is the ONLY watch format device so far. The others are fitness band shaped. If you want the data and functions, at this point, you gotta just live with the display. If you DO find one with full round display, red diodes, sleep apnea measurements, etc., PLEASE let me know. I'm constantly looking all over as well. Thanks.
Hi there, if this is the best round style is there a fitness band style that is better than this? I prefer round but if a band one is better I'll settle on a band style as the functionality is more important to me.
@@SWT Thanks. Which has the most reliable sensors? bakeey g03 or finaw gt2? Finow is ip68.. this is an important advantage, but I like the g03 model better
Sorry, I don't have a way to test the sensors on all these watches. I just report they are there and give you guys a disclaimer in the show notes that they may not be accurate and to check them for yourself when you get your watch.
Hi! Thanks for all your videos! any Bangood discount codes for December 2020? I was considering getting the Bakeey P8...would you consider this the best health watch (SPo2, ECG, Heart Rate etc) of what would you strongly recommend. Thanks.
I checked and there's no coupon at this time. Possibly in January after the holidays have passed. All the discounts pretty much ended with Cyber Monday except a few inventory liquidation sales. Timing is everything in November/December!
Honestly, the most trusted and accurate ones are here: tinyurl.com/gowellue For ECG on watches and bands, I haven't been able to test the accuracy. What's more, some of them are processed by Artificial Intelligence in the associated apps to supposedly detect potential heart issues. It's all a very grey area and one where I cannot and should not make any recommendations that could imply these devices should be relied upon in any way for medical advice.
Hi Mr. Tick. So, does the W3 support the bluetooth shot triggering on the smartphone? Also, can you control the smartphone's music player with W3 like changing tracks?
Nice, comprehensive review. This watch does more, and records more via the app than I would have imagined. However, what bothers me is wondering who else, besides me, has access, either directly or via secondary channels, to data about me. Will some Corp see this these data - recorded over months, or even years - and decide not to hire me? Not to insure either my health or my life?
For the W3 I'm pretty sure it's H Band. Check in the description under the video. I always list the tethering apps along with Google Play Store links there.
I got the W3. With the Hband app on iphone, it does NOT import oxygen and HRV data into the app. The O2 is readily seen on the watch screen, but this would hardly be useful for nighttime monitoring. Step data, BP and HR are imported. Unless there is (hopefully) some trick to this, the watch cannot be recommended. I will be first to applaud the watch it if someone can give me the "trick".
The issue is not with the band, but with Apple. Apple restricts all sorts of data from 3rd party apps, so it really doesn't matter what watch you have, if it isn't an Apple iWatch, it is going to be much more restricted than Android phones and apps for data exchange. With Android you can even monitor your sleep apnea events. I'd suggest you pick up a cheap Android phone that somebody's tossing out on eBay or Craigslist as you'll need it for any other watch/band you buy.
I have an iPhone as well. I've got everything importing so far except sleep (working on it.) The trick I found was turning off wifi on the phone. As soon as I did all sorts of info started pouring into the app. Try that to see if it works for you. I also played around with notifications and settings for the hband app on my phone. Keep at it . It'll eventually work!
@@bobcrifasi5802 I just recently turned my wifi back on to test if the watch would import info to the hband app. Everything now imports with wifi on. I did get the sleep section of the app/watch to function consistently. I did tighten the band one notch (not overly tight but comfortable.) My guess for why everything now works with an iphone is getting the notifications just right. I have sleep apnea and the apnea events under the 'blood oxygen' section of the hband app correspond exactly with my CPAP app. Overall, the numbers given on the watch are, to me, pretty close to being accurate for a $50 watch. I don't think even the Apple watch could get closer. I can't speak to the 'Sports' section of the watch because I haven't used that section yet (my bad.) Everything functions as advertised and well on the watch. The brand that I purchased (exact same watch!) is a Nicefuse W3 at Amazon, not the Bakeey that is reviewed here. But as I say, it's the exact same watch. I did turn off the 'flip-to-see' feature as this drains the battery too much for me (I work with my hands and the watch face would light-up many times a minute. All-in-all, I would highly recommend this watch to any iphone owner. Follow the instructions to a 'T' and you shouldn't have any problems with setup or operation. Even the ECG is accurate if you do what they say in the instructions. BTW, the instructions pamphlet is tiny with tiny print but thorough. Use a magnifier if you've got 'old' eyes.
when you're on the watch face, tap and hold on the active spot you touch to change pages and you'll go into face editing mode. Touch repeatedly the same spot to change faces. Touch and hold the one you want. That should do it!
Yea, this W3 is about health functions, primarily, and not a universal smartwatch with lots of faces. I've got a similar (probably identical) one like this that I'll be reviewing soon with a different bezel look to it: bit.ly/3m0YXhO
Yea, but that's a lot of work for over a thousand videos. Besides, it leaves an indication of what has happened in the past for an idea of future discounts for those checking the latest reviews. If I'm able to get a cleanup crew, I'll start updating the older listings.
Well, here is something that you never reported to your viewers - - I can walk on my hands for about 45 steps. The W3 Smartwatch counted my steps while walking on my hands. So I believe you should verify my finding Mr. Ticks, by walking on your hands with your watch on.
