Lifelong Sooner fan here and one of the coolest things about this year was knowing from day 1 the ride Bucs fans were going to take with Bake at the helm. Knowing already while watching Bucs fans discover who this guy REALLY is! I had all but checked out of the NFL due to how the media AND the Browns did Baker. Do the right thing by Bake with a meaningfull contract, utilize the draft and free agency wisely and go ahead and add 1 more Bucs fan to your ranks! I look so forward to chasing the next Bucs SB with Baker & The Boys!!! WHOOOOOOO ..... GO BUCS!!!😊😊😊

This team has worked so hard this year and they have accomplished so much. I am so proud of this team. Admittedly I am a Sooner fan and will always support Baker. He has found his home, where he belongs. The Buccaneers have done so much for his career as he keeps maturing and improving. Please re-sign him, Bucs. I gave Baker all kinds of grief last off-season after we signed him. "NO WAY DO I WANT TO SEE BAKER DOING A COMMERCIAL OFF THE PIRATE SHIP!" The #GoBucs don't have a winning season or a playoff win this season without Baker. He is a keeper and I hope we can sign him and begin to build a team around him. And I am ready for Baker to do a commercial off the Pirate ship.

If Bucs dont pay him someone will. Espn "experts" Projected 5-6 some 7 win season for Bucs. 9-7, Division winner, playoff host and win.

If the Bucs keep OC Canales and run it back in the same system for a second year in a row with Mayfield and the core group (Evans, etc), the Bucs are a serious Superbowl contender next year. Ironically, Mayfield may get to the Superbowl before Allen, Jackson, Herbert, Watson, Prescott, Tagovailoa, etc.

They need a better offensive line. Can’t have the QB pressured non-stop. Those corner blitzes from the Lions didn’t get addressed, the commentators were pointing that out again and again. If you look at Brady’s highlights, he had all day to throw and when he was bullied he lost.

The real question is, is Baker Mayfield a superbowl caliber qb? The answer is NO. Mayfield is like Phillip Rivers or Tony Romo with way less stats and wins. But why I say this, in the 2 biggest games he played in, in the divisional rounds in 2019 and now 2023. A chance for a comeback in 2019 int to end their chances during money time. This year an ugly int to end the game in money time. He hasn't proved he can win the big games. He never will be that guy. And he won't prove me wrong.
