@@fs7249 even if it was ghost written, this is still his song. Anyway, it's all in his style. Yes... I know this song was originally from a female singer that I forgot the name of, but I think it's much better now in the funky house style.
Bakermat music has an amazing power to lift my spirits. I played this song at my wedding and it will be part of me forever. Thank you for making my favorite music! Cheers!
I always loved 'Don't Leave Me This Way' by Teddy Pendergrass (Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes) did the original, it was covered by Thelma Houston and The Communards...and now I like this version as well...Thanks for posting....
How many times can this song hit the charts? 1975 for Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, 1977 when it got Thelma Houston a Grammy, and 1986 when it charted for The Communards, and now in 2017 for Bakermat.
Exactly! I was discussing with my 10 yrs old daughter when we heard it in car. Asked her if she likes it (you know her generation is growing on different stuff) Piano from 20 yrs ago. sax from like 5 yrs ago.. vocal.. well... simplicity. Great retro feel ;-) I had to check radio playlist and found out this one is fresh. Awesome ;-)
RustySlushy in this one it doesn’t go all the way, just up and down, so overall it looks wrong. But the mind uses the situation as a reference, ie the stones, so it makes a conclusion based on those facts. It’s called optics. Also maybe ur mind can be tricked, not mine ;)
