The fighting does not stop on the Bakhmut direction. After successful assaults, the Russians in most cases try to regain their lost positions by opening fire on the Ukrainian defenders. Sometimes it happens that the Russians are only three dozen meters away from positions cleared by the Ukrainian defence forces. In such cases, the enemy rarely uses artillery - they are afraid of shelling their own. Our correspondent Alyona Gramova witnessed the work of the Ukrainian infantry on the first line of defense.
