Happy Easter dear friends! To celebrate the Easter long weekend, I thought it might be fun to give vintage baking another go but this time, take inspiration from my cultural roots. Today we bake a vintage Easter Lamb Cake; these cakes were popular in the '40s and '50s and are a gorgeous little Easter symbol.

I didn't realize this was a popular trend. My grandmother would make a bunny or lamp cake every year for easter. I think I have her pans.

Thank you for the tutorial! It was just what I needed after finding a lamb pan at the thrift store for 2.50. Much easier to fill one pan than 2. Will be making the cake for Easter this year for my grandkiddoes. ❤️

Just not the same as my mom's! She would put shredded coconut on the body and black jelly beans for the eyes! Yes he would look a little demonic, but that was the fun!
