What are the two most amazing things to do in the wintertime? Answer...bake and sit next to a wood stove. What about both rolled into one? In this video I make a homemade loaf of bread (vegan!) right on top of my wood stove. I wish you would have been in my little cabin to smell the smells with me. Joyous! In the video I used a little camp stove by Coleman (see link below) but you could just as easy use a dutch oven (old school) to get the job done.

Great video and an idea for making bread, but apart from it being gluten free you just made basic bread, all basic bread is naturally vegan. Keep making these videos though.

I think it's nice for him to clarify as many Americans eat bread that is enriched with butter, eggs, and milk (or a combination of these).

Letting the yeast develop twice will make the bread taste so so much better, so let it rise once (slowly) knock the gas out of the dough then let it rise again then bake.

I believe this is the smallest wood stove I have ever seen. I should wonder that it would keep even this tiny house warm on cold winter nights.

Awesome bread! Many people are looking for no knead recipes as well. When you bake your own, you know what's in it, can avoid chemicals and preservatives. Wood stoves are cool for cooking!

What type of Gluten Free flour did you use?

Why did you have the door of your house open while baking? What kind of wood burning stove is that? What kind of wood do you use for fuel & where do you obtain it?
@tinyhouselistings
@tinyhouselistings 5 лет назад
It wasn't that cold outside that day but slightly chilly so the open door was a good compromise. I get all of the wood I need on the property that cabin resides. Here's the wood stove you see in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--iUGYNlpcjs.html

How is this gluten free? The recipe simply calls for flour.

Thank you for this great video! I purchased a dutch oven with an add on thermometer a few weeks ago and tried your recipe (accidentally adding an additional 1/2 cup of water, oops). I put a fire in my wood stove and got started. My main problem was, according to my external thermometer, I couldn’t get the temperature in the dutch oven, which basically is a big cast iron pot, above 300 (I suspect that it was warmer than that in the oven; my next purchase will be a dutch oven with an integrated thermometer. I found one made by the Combekk company, made in Holland. It can be purchased reasonably on Amazon). I was afraid that I would damage my wood stove, which I had fired up in excess of 800 degrees, so I had to regulate it’s temperature carefully. My stove is a Vermont Castings ‘Defiant Encore’ covered in porcelain enamel. My only option was to leave the bread in for a longer duration, with the temperature varying between 275-300 on the external thermometer. In the end it was 2.5 hours plus, but the loaf came out wonderfully, and it was absolutely delicious. As you mentioned in your video, it created a wonderful aroma. It’s nice to know that I can bake bread on the stove now. Thanks again; I’m much appreciative for the inspiration & direction 🙏

I was wondering if that Coleman stove would work on top of a wood stove, so I'm glad I found this. Have you had any issues with it over time being directly on top of the wood stove? Melting or anything funky? Thank you!

You can use a dutch oven while camping! Where did you get the notion you can't? A dutch oven is an essential part of cooking gear. You can bake, roast, fry or make soup in one. Very versatile!

Dear friend watching this video, you and I have something in common. We live in a mixed-up, tarnished world and we have never known anything different. Adam and Eve, however, could remember what life was like before the curse. They could recall the world as God intended it to be-free of death, hardship, and pain (Gen. 3 : 16-19). In pre-fall Eden, hunger, unemployment, and illness did not exist. No one questioned God’s creative power or His plan for human relationships. The world we have inherited since the fall resembles God’s perfect garden only slightly. To quote C. S. Lewis, “This is a good world gone wrong, but [it] still retains the memory of what ought to have been.” Fortunately, the cloudy memory of what the earth should have been is also a prophetic glimpse into eternity. There, just as Adam and Eve walked and talked with God, believers will see His face and serve Him directly. There will be nothing between God and us. “No longer will there be any curse” (Rev. 22:3). There will be no sin, no fear, and no shame. The past and its consequences may cast a shadow on today, but a believer’s destiny carries the promise of something better-life in a place as perfect as Eden. God promises us eternal life in Heaven with Him. Our eternal home will be a marvelous place! It will be joy and happiness unlike anything ever experienced for those whom believe in and have faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. Begin your eternal journey WITH your Creator by first acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of our Savior. Welcome Yeshua (Jesus Christ) into your life. Receive grace through faith by believing in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross, His death, burial and resurrection. You will then be sealed and justified in salvation. You will be blessed abundantly and your life will be forever changed! Please be of good cheer in praying the following prayer with me....Dear Heavenly Father, help me to remember that even though this world does not measure up to Your original design, there is much to enjoy and much to do for You and others. Thank You so much for the promise of life with You in a perfect setting. This we pray in the Mighty name of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen! May God bless you in the Glorious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior.❤️❤️❤️
