I’m from England as well but mince pies are filled with raisins, sultanas, currants, sugar & spices like nutmeg & cinnamon, they aren’t filled with actual minced beef- Audrey & Jo

im from england we just call it mince pies not mince meat pies :D im not a huge fan of it tho:( we leave them out for santa when we are young(atleast my family does this)

I'm from England too and as a kid I would leave out mince pies and skittles for santa and a carrot with a paper saying "For Rudolph not the other reindeers"

I’m British and most of the time mince pies are better bought from the shop but sometimes home made is better it depends on how much experience you have making it 😂😂💜💜

Two baking shows in one day, now that's a real treat. A savory dessert? I don't know about that, but I would try Jordan's chocolate orange dessert. Do a baking show making dishes using all five letters of Logan and Atlas's names.

Always had fruit in it but the meat was taken away just like you said bc it was too expensive, especially during the war and then it stuck

All the British not liking mince pies, they are SUCH an acquired taste bc of the fruit and brandy and even the texture. Definitely a staple even tho most don’t like them 😂
