Rakhwale - 7th episode.
On February 26, 2019, Indian Air force carried out airstrikes on terror camps in Balakot inside Pakistan. These airstrikes were carried out in the aftermath of the February 14 Pulwama terror attack where 40 CRPF jawans were killed when an IED-laden SUV rammed into a CRPF convoy.

And the Mirage 2k is extremely fast ,at both high ,and low levels. Very capable of doing Mach 2.2 if need be .Our pilots have accrued a lot of hours in this jet, and feel very comfortable in it. These are faster than the Jaguars even at low levels, and have excellent range ,and pay load capacity .Once their bomb load is off ,they become very formidable dog fighters.

Atlast after so long years our present Government has dared to teach lesson to Pakistan. But, in my view, the air strike has not affected Government Forces of Pakistan. Only terrorists were killed. Whereas, we have lost 40 Government trained Jawans in Pulwama attack. Hence, it cannot be called as a retaliatory action. Therefore actual retaliatory action is still pending from our military, Government.

Another reason that the SU30 was not used was because they were used to fly CAP, to protect our Mirage 2k,and our home land from a counter attack. The bombing radar on the Mirage 2k is very highly regarded even in this era.

A very good discussion....we should not afraid of discussing our weak links....because our failures makes us very strong. We have done some very good things and at the same time have learnt some very good lessons. I just hope after February 27th our Air Force have became much stronger. We really proud of our Armed Forces. As long they are on border we are safe.

Nice discussion. But I highly disagree that Pakistani armed forces are professional in their approach. They mighty be trained professionally and fight professionally but as you yourself admitted that they denied to accept 500 bodies, any strike in Balakot, unaware of Geneva convention appropriate behavior with the war prisoner etc.

Balakot surgical strike was merely Propeganda. Infact pulwama attack Was internal conspiracy. There was Inteligence inputs to PMO / military HQ about terror attack. PMO was reqested by the chief of the army to permit airlifting of the soldiers, but permission was not granted.
