Thanks for this video, Torben and Vlad. From watching this, I assess that a balanced reg would be better for ice diving/cold water because the spring tension is adjustable. Is this correct? Mabuhay!
Another very clear explanation. Thank you. Actually, I have the Scubapro MK25 Evo + S600. For quite a long time, my S600 hasn't been breathing very smoothly. I was wondering why. It's not a problem with the first stage as this has been tested. After watching your video, I'm thinking it might be an issue with the balancing mechanics within the S600 itself. So, time to pay for a service, I suppose. :)
If the 1st stage is balanced, then does it matter if the 2nd stage is balanced or not? Since with a balanced 1st stage, the pressure should remain constant wether the tank is full or empty.
New to this question? Stores selling things sometimes imply that unbalanced regulators are suitable for only shallow dives? This is not true? All regulators compensate for depth in the same way. I looked it up LOL. Air thing may be over stated for selling purposes? 2cents
Hello from Sta Rosa Laguna. I'm getting ready to get new equipment and hope travel open up soon so I can come check out your shop. What about a balanced 2nd with a unbalanced 2nd or a balanced 1stbwith a unbalanced 2nd
