For this setup we recommend not to add an quickrelease onto this setup as it will add weight and making it too hard to balance your camera with the phone on top.

Helpful video, although I simply cannot balance my 80D with either a Rode mic attached or a Galaxy S9 with a hot shoe mount. No matter how patient I try to be, the weight distribution just seems too lopsided to get the damn thing balanced! Any ideas?

any joy...I have an S9 also and it would not stay balanced,I managed to get it ok wish once, but the battery died within an hour smh

Thanks a lot, great video! Have you been able to do object tracking using the selfie camera on your phone? I tried it and it tracks side-to-side perfectly but up-and-down it tracks in reverse, like if I track my own face and I move up, the camera moves down instead of up.

For the life of me, I was never able to balance it. Using a crane plus, Canon SL2 and note 20 ultra.

hello .. i want to ask .. i use zhiyun crane plus, it is amazing .. but i have trouble to use object tracking feature, same already use zhiyun play app on my smartphone, have connected with zhiyun crane plus and i have chosen camera phone, but not the same as the display in the camera .. please help .. thank you ..

Hi Chung, I find your video's and advice most helpful :).. I have the Crane 2 , with a Samsung s8 phone mounted for and wish to do Object tracking. I have the latest Firmware installed on the Crane 2. I am using a Samsung NX1 with 16-50s Lens. ( Similar to the Gh5 in weight) . MY PROBLEM is that once in Object Tracking mode .. gimbal begins to drift !.. even in good daylight. I am confident it's correctly balanced for the extra phone and height . When the object tracking is turned off on the phone , the gimbal works correctly and is balanced with no drift . Does the Crane 2 default to L mode on Object tracking ? I have tried the PF and F mode while in Object Tracking mode ..and it still drifts .. do you have any advice and have you heard of this issue before ? Many thanks

Great video! Will the object tracking function work if you don't use the camera on the phone? That is, the object is tracked by the camera on the gimbal instead.

No matter what, my g80 with 12-35 and pixel 2 xl is too "back" heavy. I can't move it forward any more and still it's too heave on the back.

Try moving your camera bit more outward less closer to the motor side.

That up and down bobble movement seen on the example video always spoils the footage. It's important that we still employ a heal toe low stance walk pattern like you would with a steadi/glide cam to get the best footage. Slow motion also helps.

It seems impossible to balance once you have a phone attached. Anyone have tips for this. I am still under the 2.5 kgs this is supposed to handle.

@@Electricvfx did you updated the firmware in crane plus, I have never updated it, the official website says crane plus can load 2.5kg weight but my setup weight is just 1.2kg or less (cam+lens+phone +phone holder)

@@MusicTutorJay I did. I also spoke to support. They said my phone was too big but its just a s9. My setup was also under the limit. I saw some people use extra weights to achieve the balance.

Trevaughn Omari add a quickreleasr so able easy to remove the camera plus add bit of weight

MontyVisuals I'd bought an andoer quick release but the sliding plate was faulty and stuck on so couldn't even get it off... Returning it soon to get another one I think I'll go for arca swiss now!

danial haris phone must be mounted on top of the camera and in the correct phone.orientation

Hey chungda, had aan jou en heel andere vraag. De helpdesk van zhiyun laat niks meer van zich horen en aangezien jij een hoop weet van gimbals hoop ik dat jij me kan helpen. Ik heb dus een crane plus. Als ik een moving timelaps doe en ik stel bv 4 verschillende punten in dan gaat hij wel naar die punten toe en de camera draait ook wel hoe ik wil alleen hij stopt ongeveer 2 seconden op de punten en dat is niet de bedoeling. Heb jij dat probleem ook? Hoop dat je me kan helpen hiermee want het is behoorlijk vervelend.
