On the new Gold Stakes (now with Rental and Perishable Stickers), Jokers from Skip Tags have a good chance of being unusable. However, you can overcome this variance by "rolling the dice" enough times. In particular, using the Anaglyph Deck's Double Tags on a Negative Tag is not as rewarding as it is on White Stake, but it is still good enough.

@@somerandomguylmfaoMight just be a perk of the Anaglyph alongside all the buffs, really can get away with a lot more now since you used to have to pay for a lot of the free joker tags, but since they're free you lose way less tempo/econ and you can play risky knowing you've made up for it with early strength

I almost never skip blinds for jokers now, they always end up with smelly stickers!

I feel like you could’ve held the negative erosion there: it looked like you were missing the gold sticker on it, and at the very least it’s an extra 5 dollars to temperance

Heads up: Northernlion has started referencing Balatro University content... And he's even started dropping the word "muhhhhnee?" It's kinda surreal. Seeing you zoom from a few hundreds of subs to where you are now has been a real treat. Very well-deserved.

Interesting seeing you take 1st skip polychrome after a lot of prior discussion about how its probably not worth it. Also, only made it through ante 2 so far but man that bloodstone is popping off!

Skipping the very first small blind is particularly worth it (relatively speaking) because on any stake other than white, you have, at best, $7 for the first shop. The fact that the polychrome is free means that you probably come out even economically while also having a guaranteed polychrome.

He’s actually talked about how the joker blinds, especially now that they’re free, are especially good for specifically the first blind, but not great past the first ante basically
