Looks great. You painting the white over the blue on the window sills was so satisfying. Also your neighbor is going to come out on THEIR balcony and be like "Wow, we really need to step up our game." Hahahha
Just a small tip - it may be better to put the solar panel for your balcony lights on the out side of the post it is currently sitting next to because firstly it will be hidden but also it won't be in shadow from the post itself. I think you could also hide the underside of the 'industrial glass roof' above your balcony with some all weather fabric draped nicely . maybe some shower curtains ina nice fabric - have a look at Kate Mckabes greenhouse make over she did hers with voiles- they were on the inside so you sould need something water proof - but it looked lovely.
Brilliant transformation!! I did the Fake Grass bit with my small yard which was mostly a very rough concrete path. It covered the concrete but left a small triangle of so called Garden. I picked up small rocks when I found them and made a rockery in the corner and got various "junk" furniture from second hand/charity shops. A cleaned up and painted green wooden bookcase for displaying small pots and other items. A small wooden indoor table and an "iffy" plastic chair painted the same green. A solar powered water feature and non-matching pots from the same junk shops to put some plants in and my yard was transformed. Lovely place now for a cuppa and even my little Mutt likes it. Again, brilliant and Well Done.
Try spraying the ottomans, rugs, and cushions with Scotchguard to make them water resistant! The camping kind is good. It's clear, so you may easily move them inside, and they will be protected from spills and spots there, too!
GREAT JOB😊 I also have a balcony where I live , and it's perfect to enjoy the out door without living your place, especially during these times of quarantine.
What a fantastic balcony you have made, well done both of you. You are a lovely couple and you must be so proud of your work, you have made my day. Congratulations on such a beautiful project and video. Bless you both. XX😘😘

SO BEAUTIFUL!! you'll have so many lush cozy nights out here!! xx
Wow! That's looking really great! I've got the same table and chairs and I've always got problems opening the chairs 😂😂😂. It's not difficult and you don't need strength but you've got to get it right. I'm loving it! 😍 even the industrial look is great. That wall I do think needs something too. You could put hanging pots like in Spanish patios or I know!! How about making yourself a herb garden !!! With all your cooking you'd have fresh herbs. Take care, lots of love ♥️♥️
Lovely space for you. I personally like the industrial glass but you could drape a light fabric along the length to hide it if needed be, also a wooden plaque with the number on to cover the painted on wall one.
you could screw a shower pole in front of the ottomans and place a see through plastic shower curtain from the top to the end of the railing to protect them, and have it tide to the side when its not raining or windy and wont have to move them inside everytime when it rains . it will also look nice and protect from the cold wind too.
Always watch &like not a big commenter though 🌈but I though I should let you know about the wonders of self adhesive window film and how you can use it on glass ,Perspex or plastic you could use it to tidy up your roof panels that are clear make them look tidy for very little cost 🎉looking fab so far though,oh & using cable ties to get the grass attached to your metal floor would make it a bit safer as well so you don’t trip over any loose edges 🍀🍀
Good job, Paint a black square over your flat number and then once dried, get some stencils to re-pain the flat number in white, it will look awesome..
Looks so cozy! Great job! Tip...hammer some nails into bottom of metal rosemary planter for drainage or else the rosemary or any plants you put in there will get root rot and eventually go downhill.
This is very cute. I'm gonna do mine too and gradually get more and more plants. I think your balcony will continue to evolve. I don't have a roof on mine but I want one.
It looks great Luke and Zara! Gotto agree with the other comment about the tatty numbers. Why not doa DIY plaque to cover them up with a nicer 29...maybe one of your chopping boards or an old picture that you dont mind painting over? Just a thought. You could do another vlog on the 'hiding the tatty numbers plaque' xxxx
Lovely. Totally transformed. Stuff called Fabsil from Halfords will waterproof all your outside fabric furnishings. I’ve used it. Water just rolls off.
Heyy! Love your video. I just moved to an apartment and been looking for inspiration for my own balcony! Will definitely use ideas from your video and will be sharing it soon ❤❤
@@LukeCatleugh if you have an aldi near you they are so cheap and grow so well, but dont put the mint in the same pots as the others as thier roots overpower the other plants. But fresh mint for Margs on your balcony......
To add more privacy from your neighbors across the way maybe you could attach like a shower curtain type of thing/fabric to the roof of the balcony and have it hang down.? Or like a large plant near the railing before the staircase?
Hi I'm from India (Bangalore)and I just loved the transformation of ur balcony.its really cozy n nice.i think if u cud paint the grills it will definitely look brighter.good job👍❤️❤️
Hello. Job well done ! What a difference with bit paint & fake grass mat. The seating was perfect for the space too. Love the lights too and I hope the solar lights will work just the way you wanted. Totally looks amazing ! Enjoy your balcony you guys :)
Rosemary requires drainage. Drill a couple of holes into the bottom of the planter. Cover the make do two numbers 29 with the masonary paint redo with a stencil in black paint. Will look neat. 🖤
Looks amazing! Great job!!! What a beautiful space for you guys to enjoy. Update us on the solar lights, if they catch enough light to work :) love it!!!
I love the video! Just a suggestion, spray the ottomans with like an outdoor waterproof spray so you don’t have to keep taking it inside when it’s about to rain!
Wow it looks so fab what brilliant ideas.....bit def cover over the number 29 u could use a kids small blackboard & paint the no. on ? Anyhoo fantastic job
Why not try attaching a trellis to the wall behind the boxes. You don’t have to drill if your lease won’t allow it, there are plenty of fixing tapes around to secure it, and then you could take it with you when you move. It all looks great.
Great transformation nice to have somewhere to sit chill and drink coffee wine and cocktails grass a great idea and herb garden ideal for you like with all your cooking and window seats enjoy both of you lve Debs from beckenham xx
