At the National Arboretum Bald Eagle Cam Mr President sees the harsh weather coming in and wants to relieve Lotus of incubating duties. But she is not so eager to give up her spot on the eggs. So Mr P decides two incubators are better than one!

I have collected dozens over the past 7 yrs! Fortunately (tho sadly) they don’t all get busy every spring. As it is I have 6 windows on my biggest laptop and YT on the big screen. It’s such an addiction!🤣🤣

Mr. P did the same thing with the First Lady 3 or 4 years ago. It was snowing heavily, the First Lady was covered with snow while incubating and Mr. P came and stayed with her, covering her as much as possible with his wings and body. It was so moving that I saved the video. Mr. P is an incredible mate and father. 🦅🦅🦅❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@fasco2 10/1/22 Here are two links to Mr. President and TFL 3/14/17 incubating in the snow and ice two eggs that would hatch two week’s later. The eaglets were designated DC4 and DC5. I’m thinking that the female eagle V ran The First Lady off the nest. It wasn’t fun to watch. Mr. President did nothing to help TFL. V stuck around for the season. No eggs. I was/am sad. Then Lotus came.

Happy to see Mr P has found a new mate. Lotus be like “I just got this spot all warmed up “. He’s like “I’ll just keep you warm then “. Did anyone ever find out what happened to TFL? This was my first nest to follow several years ago but now follow dozens - I’m addicted! 😊

I have! my heart grew three times bigger with TFL & Mr. President 😍. I decided they are my new parents long ago. I miss her :/ I hope Lotus & Mr. President touch another in the same way. very gratifying & humbling to feel so deeply about another lovely being changing you when you didn't even know that could happen 💓 thank you AEF 💌 I'm growing a tulip tree, I named her Lady :)

he is a fine bird. remembering the noreaster when he and TFL were buried deeply under snow and they broke free that morning... I was bawling my heart out.

Happy for Mr. P. 💝And happy, that Lotus is young, healthy & is doing such a good job. I still feel bad & sad about whatever happened with TFL. Clearly something went wrong 😢. So much we’ll never be privy to know. The way of the wild …🦅
