Hi I'm thinking of trying microneedling on my scalp but have micro scalp pigmentation how will microneedling affect the tattoo? Any advice will be appreciated thanks
The bigger issue is that he proceeded with giving a hair transplant, fully knowing his client wasn’t on any meds and knowing what the outcome would be, esp for a diffuse thinner.. total disaster
@@hairliciously so if you aren't on meds, then the hair transplant will fail? That's inaccurate. In the coming years , hairloss can continue if you don't do anything about it but you don't need to be on fin for the hair grafts to survive. It's for your native hair
@@sergiomacias5145 you don’t think he knows that it’s for your native hairs? If you’re not on meds, your native hair will bald and your hair transplant will be for nothing.
@@moesawad from what I got from the video, the transplant failed because he wasn't on meds, and thats misleading. It was the poor graft placement, grafts not secured, unskilled doctor which all were mentioned in the video. And probably poor donor quality since his hair was thinning all around. Also the comments he was reading from users that mentioned the transplant failed because he wasn't on Finasteride is where he should had corrected them so that's where I have an issue. False information
@@hairliciously you don’t have to be on meds it’s plenty people that has transplant and keep hair naturally period to be on meds is extra if need be it was a bad transplant simple
Poor guy. I don't think I would do a hair transplant until I use nonsurgical treatments. Currently I am only dermarolling 1.5mm 1 time per week (With slight diffuse thinning in front, lower mid scalp)
@@hairliciously I know I wouldn't be a good candidate because I'm too young, but I do have some minor results from only microneedling in almost 1 year.
At least hop on RU if you are scared of side effects dude. I’m using fin + min + RU + tret + dermarolling 2x a week with a 2mm dermaroller. I’m shedding hard right now so I know it’s working.
Canada is a great option for US residents .Because of a weaker canadian dollar you get a lot of value. Not to mention that you also get some of the world's best doctors (Hasson & Wong ,Rahal, etc )
tbf doing a HT without finasteride around the period of having it is asking for a failure. Shockloss after a HT is a big thing that can prevented a lot with fin.
You're right. These guys are wrong lol you can have a successful hair transplant without meds. But if you want to keep your native hair then you need to be on meds.
Yeah but I had lost my hair like 20 yrs ago as a teenager, so Fin wasn’t going to do much anyways. I can get away with an ok buzz cut, better than having to shave my head. So I just look at the positives. I’ll likely get smp at some point which should help.
@@ua1514 getting a hair transplant without taking finasteride is pretty useless as your hair will continue falling out like the guy in the video, in fact I would say that without taking Finasteride there's no way you will be able to fight hair loss, it is the most effective and easiest treatment there is currently
Should I completely stay away from hair transplant surgery if I have diffuse thinning? I use dutasteride and oral minoxidil, which are powerful treatments, but the thickening isn't as good as I was hoping it would be. I think there's been some increase in density, but not a lot. The most game-changing cosmetic product has been Toppik, which makes my hair look thick. I'm worried that a transplant for my diffuse thinning could be harmful to my native hairs and would end up as a useless, botched surgery. I would be happy if I could get surgery to make my hair look as thick as it does when I use Toppik. But because it's diffuse thinning, I worry that a transplant could make my problem worse. Would SMP be a better idea? It seems to create the illusion of better density, and it would be a longer-lasting solution than Toppik.
He could use minoxidil 5% instead of hair transplant because men with diffuse hair responds very well to minoxidil 5% along with microneedles with 1.0 mm
@@capo4ever334 Of course it doesn't last long. Because you are not adressing underlying cause. And that underlying cause of male pattern hairloss is scalp inflammation which is major cause in male baldness than DHT, in my opinion. To treat scalp inflammation, you need variety treatments such as intake of omega 3 in form of liquid fish oil with high quality or use shampoo with ingredient of zinc pyrithione etc. Then minoxidil will work 100% along side. I know this because I have been through this
I’m a diffuse thinner. I don’t use fin but I eat copious amounts of pumpkin seeds and green tea. Also a topical saw palmetto oil. 2x a week. And minoxidil. Looking to get a hair transplant. But I think my donor area isn’t too thick. You think it matters?
Hi. Can nizoral cream be used as a topical anti-androgen ? I have been on minoxidil and micronedeling for almost 5 months. I just want to add anti-androgen.
@@hairliciously both ketoconozone (nizarol) and pirotane olamine are shown in studies to thicken hair shaft. It isn't a silver bullet but it is useful around the margins as a supplement to anti androgens, microneedling etc.
I had a failed hair transplant and scalp micropigmentation I had to work out another easy way to look like Im not losing my hair cheaply and easy and water proof so I like to help people so I made 2 You Tube videos called balding and greying Dave Kirby if you have no hair on top and balding and greying part 2 if you have some hair on top.
It could also be that because he is a diffuse hair thinner he has a higher likelihood of less successful hair transplant. This is due to possible disturbances to the surrounding hair follicles. Don’t quote me on it tho, just read this possibility from some dude at tressless.
These guys can't wait to butcher their scalps, unbelievable! Hair transplants are effective but a last resort solution. Be patient, do your research carefully, talk to other patients, try some of the oral treatments first.
I’m new to this but my dermatologist prescribed me topical mometasone lotion to help with that problem alongside possible shedding. I don’t know if it’s legit though.
If/when topical anti-androgens like pyrilutamide and (clascoterone??) become commercially available, do you think HT doctors will accept using them as maitenence post-op?
What if you cant take hair transplant medication? My balding is very minimal and slow. I do microneedling and use rosemary oil with decent results. Hair is still thick only got receding hairline
@@hairliciously I know that but I’m afraid if I use it on transplanted hair that those new hairs cycles will get shortened and depended on the minoxidil like the miniaturized hairs . Thx
hi hairliciously, i have one question for you: i'm on finasteride(no minox or other products) since march 2021 but it doesn't have any effects on me and now i'm nw2 with thinning in the frontal area, so do you think it's time to switch on duta? it can be useful for me? i'm 21. thanks for your response.
@@exactly1176 thank you for the comment. unfortunately all the men in my father family are nw6 or 7 except my cousin(nw3 without thinning in the crown and 28yo) and his father(nw2 without hair in the crown and 70yo), so i’m not in the best situation. one question: why i should combine dutasteride and finasteride?
@@exactly1176 thanks bro. I am trying to understand my hair suicide. I'm not saying hair fall, my hair is easily pulled out. I can't open my eyes when I shower, it hurts a lot. Let's suppose that hair is supposed to fall when you take show, when I blow dry it, hundreds of hairs, and the worst is even few minutes later when it's totally dry, if I run my fingers through my scalp, I get hairs, and if I pull gently, still more hair is coming out😭 it feels like my hairs are lying on the surface and they have no deeper roots. I know people who went bald, but they didn't go through aggressive hair shedding. It's only the few hairs they shed don't back, something like this.... I m confused
@@exactly1176now i have all the instruments to fight this fucking shit, so in these days i’ll buy minoxidil and try it for my situation. thank you very much for the long explanation, i appreciated it a lot bro❤️💪. EDIT: is useful minoxidil for temple points?
@@benchabanehocine7809 bro, how old are you and what is your family history? i know how you feel, cuz in the last year i cried a lot of times for this shitty situation and everyday i wear a beanie to stop thinking about my hairloss, but my advice is to try every available treatment. i know you can recover your hair!
Hi I'm thinking of trying microneedling on my scalp but have a tattoo hairline how will microneedling affect the tattoo? Any advice will be appreciated thanks
I feel like I am in the same situation as this guy but I have been taking dutasteride and oral minoxidil before the HT and after my ht. I had a hair transplant 11 months ago and my hair looks patchy and when the light hits the scalp you can see a bunch of bumps and my scalp. I got my hair hair transplant done in Northern California. Not sure what to do next. I think I have cobblestone. I paid more then guy 😬
Hey guys, I am 22, agressively balding and I just cant take fin at all. I cut the dose down to topical eod and still got gyno growth and breast pain (among other things, but most notably) that would not subside for weeks. I can basically rule out ar5 inhibitors completely. Is there anything else I can try to keep my hair until something better comes? I am in minox already and bought some pyril, hoping that it wont get confiscated.
@@YodiJohsonna sorry, but I doubt that some vitamins will stop my hairloss. Besides.. my diet is pretty clean already. No sugar, no alkohol, no meat (I supplement b12), no milk, lots of vegetables (my goal is about 50% per meal), I make everything fresh, so no processed food too. One of the few parts of my routine that I am actually happy with.. Ps. I even had my blood checked a couple of weeks ago because I eat almost no animal products and I seem to have a sufficient amount of all the vitamins I could lack because of it.
if you don't have enough lipids in your diet, which seems to be the case, you're going to have too much delta 9, throw in fin rather than dutasteride & yeah that's a recipe for aromatase (hence your gyno) sorry man. hope your doctor gets a blood panel on ya & help you balance out your levels god bless
I don't think it did fail. He was seriously thinning before the surgery, and his diffuse MPB was and is severe. So he is losing everything everywhere. He's just unlucky with genes. It's likely he'd have been completely bald by now without the HT. Hair transplants can only cover so much.
I’d say it depends on each person. Some notice it a few weeks into it while others may notice sides after years of taking it. Others notice sides upon cessation so it depends
I’d like to set up a consultation with you if possible. I had a HT in Aug ‘21 (just completed month 6), and I fear something isn’t right. I’d love for you to take a look and give me your opinion. I of course would compensate you for your time. Thank you for your consideration! 🙏🏻
@@HaypiKake did things turn around for you? I just see videos of all these transplant progress and mine seems behind. I’m trying to be patient, but if I need a second HT I want to start planning now, ya know?
@@TheMinishKid yes it did, I had 750 grafts done on my temple area but at month 3 my shock loss was bad. My shock loss hair grew back though around month 8th. Then my transplanted hair was almost 100% around a year and 3 months in. The hair grew in good after stressing for basically 12 months. Give it time
@@HaypiKake Thanks for the boost of confidence! I will be patient 🧘♂️. I am taking Finasteride (6 months), doing Minoxidil and Stemoxydine daily, along with 2% Ketoconazole shampoo and LLLT 1x/day. I also get PRP treatment every 3 months. 🤞🏻
@@hairliciously im so tired, i dont think I can keeping up with all of this man, I really hate myself right now, my plan is just be fit, shave my head of, maybe someday I could save some money and do hairtransplant in turkey, but its suck to be bald
