You also get them as rewards when you do an evil playthrough so an minmaxxed way I’ve thought of doing it was killing dror ragzlin and gut and then helping minthara and then helping nere in the under dark to get one as a reward before killing him and taking the one in his head
@@jackofb1adesYou can advance Mintharas quest by talking to her and tell her the location of the grove, then she disapear from the golbins keep and then kill Dror =)
It does work, did that in my evil playthrough as well. She just has to leave the area first (she literally walks out the front door after giving a speech to some goblins before leaving).
send minthara to the grove, take a long rest(not necessary but I had a bug where she became hostile regardless of not being there so id do just to be safe), then kill dror and gut. Mintharas quest still advances and if you want her in act 2 just knock her out while defending the grove instead of outright killing her
As someone who just filled my brain in act 3 your thumbnail gives me serotonin but there's a dark side at some point during your tadpole filled journey you'll run out of room in your brain and to keep your addiction going youll force tadpoles on all your companions you've never felt so bad as you do when you force astarion, karlack, gale, whyll, lyzel, shadowheart to cover their beautiful faces in horrible black veins for power
A note, as I'm still watching the video -- If you choose not to use any tadpoles before using the Astral-Touched Tadpole, it will automatically unlock the first 5 Illithid Powers, surrounding the center node, for free for each person the lets the tadpole touch their mind. This basically gets you 35 free parasites, if you use it on all 6 Origin companions and yourself.
Theres a glitch involving glut from act 1in the underdark if you have him make a shroom zombie and it dies a worm will spawn on it. Using this you can raise every corpse you see in the under dark and gain a large amount of worms.
@@zkf5448 I had glut raise a corpse. While this one is still alive I raise another and the first one dies. My dream visitor tells me of tadpole on the first raised corpse's body and I just repeat. Ill try and get there again.
There is one missing. In the moonrise towers, After the cutscene of you getting the mission to retrive the artifact, you have to follow Disciple Z'rell after she leaves. Talk to her and pass the insight check to read her nervousness while talking about the artifact, then you gotta pass the persuade check to make her into talking more about the artifact, she gets impressed of how you read her mind and gives you a free mind flayer. If you fail the insight check then she wont give you anything. make sure to save the game before talking to her.
You can have the drow as a companion as a good guy as well. Just don't kill her but turn on the non lethal damage leaving her behind with 1hp. And you can save her later. But of course you won't get her tad pole
A technical additional amount of worms can be obtained by buying rank 1 illithid powers(Illithid persuasion and the ones in the innermost ring that have no other prerequisite to unlock) and then using the gift from the Emperor from the start of act 3. It automatically gives you the inner ring powers and refunds them so while unlocking them first only goes net neutral on tadpoles some characters have illithid powers automatically unlocked, namely the Tav with Illithid persuasion and Minthara with that and 2 more rank 1 powers for a total of 4 extra tadpoles that do go into your pool of extra tadpoles. There might be one more character who's infected but you recruit later on who has starting powers but I do not remember if they do. Also for the 2 parasites in the Zhentarim container in Moonrise docks, you can be granted permission to inspect the cargo in the area by the guard standing in front of the area and you can just take the tadpoles without stealing. Nobody will mind.
The rocks near Nere aren’t magical. You can blow it up with ANY explosives… might take 2. Or a magic weapon and strong character can crit it down. Or any combination of spells.
@@hangover89 Does long rest still working? My last playthrought I have Nere alive literarelly until I entre Shar's realm (which is cutting your ability to travel to act 1 locations), I rest alot, I periodically return to Grimforge to check and Nere was still alive...
Only 43? Damn, I guess that's fair though. Having a fully wormed player character makes cull the weak amazing. Just... Every enemy immediately has 26 less HP. If I could get two party members like that 👀💦
I'm annoyed that only the newborn mindflayer in Act 3 gives you extra parasites, but not the ones that transform outside after killing Gortash and Orin. You'd think every single one of them would be free for the taking.
It took me three play-throughs to finally convince myself that there is never that special inside normal crates, then you show me the motherload in one. lmao
Nice, I'm new and got 6 total, I got many to go, also what's that glowing great/long sword in the 3rd creche mark? Ngl kinda intrigued on the sword lmao
@@sidecharacter7165 No.. you wait til they start the self-destruct, then banish. They will just explode in the Astral Plane or whereever they got banished to.
11:01 Gortash kidnapping people, holding them hostage to have upper hand against his enemies After finding his parents "LETS SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT" backs his parents in half 😅
