Amazing, I never tire of watching ppl play through this part, forget goosbumps, i'm in tears every time :) Why cut the combat though? It is a difficult fight with Balthazar and would have really liked to see your approach.
I love difficult battles, but they take a while... didn't want to bore anyone 😅. Here's the link to the fight (from the VOD) if you're still interested tho ❤ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wICOosEQFDY.htmlsi=vJjU04Bfku51C8Ng&t=15794
Those cloudkills were painful! 😵💫. Shadowheart with her Blood of Lathandar really shined here ☀️💀. This fight wasn’t so bad compared to the Githyanki fight w/ Therezzyn in the Crèche. THAT fight was the most challenging for me so far 😳. Had to reload that fight a few times, swap out companions, use the environment…pulled out all the tricks for that battle. But it felt so good when we conquered it 💪🏻. Looking forward to some epic battles in Act 3!
I love Shadowheart as a character. Even if you say nothing and trust her, she chooses to throw the spear away. It shows even brainwashed for years as a cleric of Shar, she’s still a good person underneath it all.
I was relieved she chose to do the right thing. She kept saying she wanted to be a dark justiciar but I also didn’t want to stand in the way of her dream.
13:15 i might be wrong but I wouldnt be surprised if that broken statue is of Selune and she is metaphorically and literally sending a beam of light to the shadowlands
you’re likely to be right! before ketheric turned the entire place into the shadowlands, reithwin (and by extension, moonrise towers) was a haven of selunite worship, especially given what we pick up along the way on the thorms’ history
Each time I've watched that scene, and its 5-6 times now, it's biblical. The first time I saw it, I was shocked. Absolutely blown away by her transformation into an angel. I still can't get over it.
Exactly! The whole time I was searching for an object so it was shocking to find out the truth 🤯. It was an amazing scene and I still recall the goosebumps ❤️
I forgot about Alfira's weeping dawn. That was a good one too ❤️. Unfortunately, I never got to experience Lae'zel's duel (I lost her in Act 2). This game definitely has some memorable moments 🥰
@@AlteredCalyx I'm told that in any sentence, whatever is said before "but" doesn't count :D Same boat here, I had to step down when she threw her ultimatum "fight me"... Since I failed to convince her, the following scene gave me goosebumps with the eerie music. Damn that was awesome.
A lot of the gods of this world helped in their own ways, large and small, Sylvanas empowered Arabella, Mystra sent two of her finest champions, Lathander allowed us to carry his mace, and Jergal stood firmly at our side. But Selune? She sent the flesh of her flesh, her own daughter, a great and powerful Aasimar, armed and armored with holy power, she provided shelter in the heart of the Shadow, she handed out multiple powerful artifact weapons, and even found time to redeem a child, fallen into her sister's shadow. Selune is what people hope for when they speak of gods, an active hand, guiding and protecting, a divine overwatch to help us see the mission through. Of all the gods in DnD, she's by far my favorite. Our Lady of Silver, She who Guides.
@@AlteredCalyx Thank you. It's a subject near to my heart, beings like Selune are why I struggle to get into evil playthroughs of any game, if something like her exists in that universe I can't help but want to carry their banner. A goodness so good it inspires greatness.
There have been… trust issues in the past 🥺. Lae’zel turned on my party during our first encounter with Vlaakith. (I didn’t even get a chance to talk her out of it). But I should’ve known I could trust my girl Shadowheart ❤️
I'm still early into Act 3, but Astarion has recently surprised me with his outlook on power. He's kind of a loose cannon for me tho so we'll see if I have enough trust in him when the time comes 🥺. I'm kinda aloof with my companions emotionally, but we have a strong bond through our combat adventures. If anyone threatens or hurts one of my companions I will hunt them down 😡
