Baldur's Gate 3 Is One Of The Best Games EVER MADE! 

Baldur's Gate 3 in my opinion is one of those games that makes me conflicted at times. It's like reading dark themed manga like Chainsaw Man, Tokyo Ghoul and Zom 100 Bucket List of the Dead. It's like playing some of my favorite games like Final Fantasy X, Tales of Arise, God of War Ragnarok, Sly Cooper Trilogy, Jan and Daxter Trilogy, Tales of Berseria, Witcher 3, Ghost of Tsushima, Assassin's Creed Origins, Hogwarts Legacy, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart and the Dragon Age series I do enjoy a lot of the characters of this game like Shadowheart, Astarion, Karlach, Gale, Jaheria and Halsin. Sure most of them can be stubborn, selfish and a little bit unlikeable but once you get to know them, you'll relate to them. Hell, Shadowheart's questline was one of the more heart wrenching ones as you're afraid that if you let her kill the Nightsong with a low approval rating, she'll end up becoming a Dark Justiciar and is stripped of all emotion. And even if you manage to convince Shadowheart to spare the Nightsong, (I was able to do nothing as Shadowheart chucks the spear away and free the Nightsong), it leads to Shadowheart's questline in act 3 where you'll have to decide whether or not you should save her parents who were being tortured by Shar. Karlach and Gale are both more tragic characters. Karlach was nothing more than a slave to a demon and had her heart replaced by a machine that runs low on demonic fire. If you don't give her a new heart, she'll burst into flames towards the end. Gale is a magic addict who will blow up if someone doesn't give him his magic items. Hell, he ends up blowing himself up to stop the Netherbrain from destroying Baldur's Gate. The gameplay is fun as you can do whatever you want and explore many areas in the game. But you have to follow certain requirements in order to progress. Example #1, if you want to do the Nightsong questline, you'll have to put up with Aradin and he'll give you the quest, only in Act 1. Example #2, if you want to travel to Baldur's Gate without being corrupted by the Shadowcurse, you'll have to complete Halsin's side quest. And even if you complete Act 2, you can't get out of the Shadowlands without the Shadowcurse killing you because this Art guy died after you freed the Nightsong. But there is a way to break the Shadowcurse if you bring back Art with a scroll of the dead, if there's any within the Shadowlands. Let's also hope that Art's corpse is within the Last Light Inn or else we've reached a roadblock. The combat is also fun and a bit challenging as you have to figure out each strategy to win every fight. But that's where the challenging part comes in. There are a lot of boss fights that are hard to be, some of them almost caused me to quit the game like Balthazar within the Shadowfell. Word of advice, kill Balthazar in his office before you go to the Nightsong which might be a bit hard, but also easy as well. Ketheric is also a challenging boss fight as he casts free which makes the characters unable to move. And of course, there's the Githyanki General boss fight after meeting your Dream Guardian as he uses his mind breaking powers to damage your party's hp. There's also the fact that difficulty spikes all over the game as it becomes both harder and easier whenever you travel to a new zone. All in all, Baldur's Gate 3 is considered the best game of 2023 for a lot of reasons because it appeals to fans of CRPGs of old and new RPG fans who enjoy good writing, characters and romance. I'm just one of those people who play a video game for the fun and engaging combat and well written stories but I don't enjoy games that have certain requirements in order to progress and difficulty spikes.

Try to gain high approval from Astarion and his character starts to shine. The lines he has can make you both cry and laugh. And none other character made me want to help him as much as Neil compels you to help Astarion.

I like Astarion a lot, but best performance for me has to go to J.K. Simmons for Ketheric Thorm. Still BG3 though.

Today I approached the deceased Tiefling in Emerald's Grove and instead of talking to the NPC next to his dead corpse I hit A for "Loot". What happened was the Tieflings got so offended the first thing they did, without as much as a word, was to enter turn based mode 😂 And handed me my booty on a silver platter. See it's stuff like this, of course they wouldn't like the fact that I am looting the body of one of their deceased loved ones... It's the natural reaction. But did I get the option to do something unspeakably despicable? Yes, I did! And I had to deal with the consequences...

This game is an utter masterpiece. I’m so glad I caved in and gave it a try because I am in love with it. I’m so glad others are opening their minds and trying it too because Larian did such an amazing job. One of the best games of all time seriously.

I was skeptical of this game. I don’t trust modern games because I’ve been burned many times by subpar overpriced trash that lives off of ingame purchases. But this game proved me wrong… and now I’m obsessed

I don't even like turn-based games and I upgraded my Xbox series S specifically because of Baldur's Gate 3. I spent my Xmas money on it.

I am a CRPG, Larian and BG 3 enjoyer, but I gotta say, there were better nominees than Neil Newbon who deserved that. What I believe happened is Neil got awarded Best Performance in the name of the whole cast of Voice Actors. I mean, overall Baldur's Gate 3 had probably the best Voice Acting in the history of gaming. Taken one by one, yeah, the other Nominees would have beaten every VA, but as an ensemble cast, no way. I know it's not fair, it should have been in a category of it's own, like Best Voice Acting in a Video Game, and leave the Best Performance for individual acts, which Neil most probably would have lost. /edit: Also, Neil worked as instructor for motion capture to the other Voice Actors, which is kinda cool.

To be fair being Anti-Githyanki doesn't make you racist if it's a cultural thing and you're cool with other kinds of Gith like the Githzerai or would be cool with non-evil Githyanki who've rejected the worship of Lich-Queen Vlaakith.

Def gonna check out more of your content and i wish you every success with your channel. i hope it blows up for you. In the meantime here's my take on the BG3 phenomonum: i'm old-school. Believe it or not i have been gaming over 40 years. ive seen gaming evolve so much and it started with a huge upwards trajectory but its been on a downward spiral the last 10-15 or w/e years. perhaps this will illustrate my point: i remember in vanilla wow there was a 40v40 pvp battleground, Alterac Valley iirc. the battles could last up to 12 hours! the tide could turn back and forth many times. you could be so close to losing and just manage to push them back at the last min and then counter-attack with your own offensive. that could happen multiple times. you could play 3-4 hrs whatever and it was late, you were tired, you had to log off for bed. you could sleep 8 hours, log back on, and the same battle was still raging which you could/would rejoin. no rewards, no pvp points system. ppl were there just because they wanted to be. they were having a great time. and the sense of accomplishment when/if your side won was unbelievable. then they "improved" it all. they streamlined it. each battle max 30 mins. they added reward points for pvp participation which could be used to buy pvp gear (which could then be used to gank pve players out in the game world). as soon as one side was close to losing the battle everyone in chat was like 'just let them win. stop fighting them. lets get the next one started'. most of the losing players immediately gave up so there was no chance at all. half the ppl didnt even want to be there they were just farming the points. yes there were (many) more ppl participating but none of them were having anywhere near as much fun. that to me is the state of modern gaming, and BG3 is a blast from the past. Its Alterac Valley vanilla style. Its old-school but with all the added benefits of state-of-the-art technology. And its opened up ppls eyes.

I love Baldur's Gate 3! i think its the greatest game of all time! but GTA6 may have something to say about that! however divinity original sin 3 will be BG3 on steriods! that game will top GTA6!

I don’t see how this game would’ve worked without the turned base combat?! Actions, bonus actions, initiative turn order!! Wouldn’t be the same in RT even if it had pause. TableTop RPG’s are turned based. Nice lil review here!

BG3 is one of the few games where i actually had the audio on while playing! It is my 2nd favorite RPG, just behind Planescape Torment! The voice acting is pure perfection! Amelia Tyler's narrator voice, is pure sexy goodness!
