@@RivanKnight He has incredibly low wisdom (I wanna say 14?) which means if you know how to exploit that, you can have a MUCH easier fight on your hands. It actually is totally fitting though, considering how unwise his plans are long term. Without spoiling TOO much, I will simply say that if he continues on as he does in his ending, Asmodeus is gonna give him quite a lil' smack.

Doom Guy may equal a Level 12 Human Fighter, but he is feared by Hell for a Reason. Also, this version of Raphael’s Final Act kicks in When Doom Guy does indeed join your party and this fight, just to kick another pretentious demon from Hell in the tail.

@@jhvfgvsfgbfr Oh, not saying his plan would ever work out, just a theoretical. Asmodeus would bitch slap Raphael even with the Crown of Karsus. I think we would need some sort of alternate way of killing Raphael in the boss fight, using the Netherstones or some other McGuffin to deal with him. This music would definitely add to his character as someone being driven to madness through his ambition.

Imo even Mephisto would be on his lvl , let alone someone like asmodeus who would erase him faster then you can say hi , then again larian also stretched the strength of wish (something vlaakith used) who knows how strong the crown is in this headcannon

@@jhvfgvsfgbfr I think Raphael could pretty reliably take out the arch dukes (with the exception of maybe Mephisto since he had the thing since Karsus's Folly and never used it presumably lol). Considering what it did to the elder brain I can say Raphael with it would become exponentially more powerful. Asmodeus is just exponentially more powerful than that. I'm pretty sure he's considered a greater deity at this point.

Oh yeah, this thing is so unbalanced right now. I have 2 separate sets of rhythm guitars with 1 playing a baratone suboctave for more hellish grunge... But you can hardly tell. I did want to beef up the orchestral bits with some of my own samples but got lazy there and forgot. But more importantly in the vocals. Oh dear god the vocals are so patchwork and placeholdery. Firstly the spoken parts need adjustment to fit underneath the original just to add texture/depth instead of being out of sync and weird. Next, I just wanted my singing voice to support the original VoX and in many sections it just overpowers it. Worse in a couple sections I was getting worn out (I am NOT a vocalist) and starting to miss notes pretty bad. I went over a few sections with Melodyne to smooth that over but got lazy before calling it a WIP and rendering it. Somehow even worse is the mixing. Just to give an example of how bad the mixing is I just used that same resonant filter from the beginning during the heavier chorus/hook sections to suppress them rather than actually EQ balancing or compressing them properly. If I end up having another manic day maybe I'll go back over all this and tidy it up, then re-upload it. But I was honestly more hoping someone else would do it because uhhhh mixing vocals is hard and I'm bad at it :[

Ye, that 1:15 area is when the roughness shows through the most. Apparently people dig the track so I started poking around yesterday cleaning up some of that garbage cause I totally agree, this version is messy.

Sure thing! The song is at 160bpm, the intro section is still -roughly- at this tempo but has a staggered pause between "all mortal lives expire" and "souls go to their dooms". However, from the point where Raph starts off it's all mostly straightforward 4/4 so what I did was use Raph's first spoken line ("Hell, hell, hell has it's laws) as my first beat and worked in reverse for the intro. While there are a few measures of rest here and there it's still in 160bpm all the way through from that first spoken line. So if you use that first line as your first beat at 160bpm it should all be easy going from there. I could share my reaper project file if that would be helpful, it'd probably be a bit hard if I shared exactly what I have currently since it'd reference plugins you may not have installed... But I could render stems out, save a different .RPP file using the stems and upload that/hand that off if you think that'd help.
