Just used this guide as of today 12/2/23 and it still works. Only difference is you still have to do the gauntlet of shar trials instead of using knock on the door with Gale and a few of the bosses have a bit more HP than they do in this video due to recent patches. Still 100% doable and it also popped the tactician trophy. Took me 13 hours and 7 mins on my run but could easily be shaved down by someone with more skill.
I'm working through a run similar to this on Honour Mode and Knock did work on the door in Shar's Temple. I couldn't cheese Balthazar like this video because he just teleported back to the platform, so I used barrelmancy instead.
@@oritanix5205 i did not. I think they've nerfed Darkness on higher difficulties since this video was made. I ended up fighting her solo in the Dark Urge duel using a Tavern Brawler build and the Dwarven Thrower. I was Level 8.
Just a PSA for anyone trying to use this Tactician speedrun to speedrun Honour mode - it worked fine until I reached Balthazar, who now cannot be killed by falling. I was stuck there, in the astral void, underlevelled and over-specialized, watching Balthazar teleport back up every time he was knocked over.
So far as of today, everything else works except for Orin fight, for some reason she uses jump on me in darkness. Apostle of Myrkul fight does work it just needs A LOT of good rng. Thanks for the run though. Update: I thunderwaved Orin off the cliff, beat her guards and her loot is still where she died (off into the chasm) don’t know how to fix. Misty stepping kills you instantly, mage hand won’t work either.
Very cool run. Do all of your strategies (like the Darkness and Eldritch Blast spam) still work on the newest patch? Also, do you plan on uploading any more (full act 3) tactician speedruns? 🙂
@@sorrowiseyou don’t need his wife’s notes all you do is pass the skill checks to show him mercy in your first encounter. Doesn’t work with this still tho cause myrkul has his pull ability that he will use immediately and take you out fast
@@SkorgeBloodfist yes, i did the exact same, the only different is you cant use knock on the door in shars tempel. I'll give you a tip, save every time before you use the dice and if you don't like the result just reload
@@sorrowiseI just did it (1/6/2024) and it worked like a charm. And I’m TEDIOUSLY following this video to a T. 1hr 24mins in took me over 6 in-game hrs.
I have a feeling you would have saved a lot of time on reloading if you saved Shadowheart at the start, you wouldn't have needed that ridiculous check rolls with the githyanki guys @ 14:30 for example. I hope you reported all these bugs you found, like this spassed out tentacle dude here 2:19:20
