Thanks for these guides. I'm a complete newbie to BG3 (and the whole genre, really) and the other guides seem to focus almost exclusively on PC controls. These answered a lot of questions I had and gave me some new tips I hadn't thought about yet.
While looking at an item’s tooltip in your inventory, click the touchpad to open up a ‘full tooltip menu’ that has all the tooltips for effects or abilities associated with that item. :)
@@TissyTheBanshee I just found this out yesterday and I’ve been playing since PS5 early access and it was a game changer. No longer need to desperately google and then waste my time to see what it does in game when I can’t find info online
Thank you for addressing the combat log thing! I actually prefer the detailed view of combat info in a dedicated place, not taking the screen space. Just a few clicks feel a bit annoying haha. Regardless, your video helps me a lot, thanks!!!
I am so happy it was helpful, I made this video just before the patch 2 dropped, and there are some additions and fixes for the controller aswel, the changelog is extensive. I am making a video about it tomorrow.
Would you consider making a video demonstrating how to create 2 groups while playing in split screen with ps5 controllers ? I really struggle to split my companions between me and my partner, it would be more enjoyable if we each could control half of the crew Thanks again for the great content you provide ! 🙏🏻

Thank you! Yes can either shoot them from your inventory by simply pressing x on it, given you have a bow equiped. Or another way is to add it to the action wheel and select it from there.
Great video as always. One question. On k&m it is easy to identify and examine floor surfaces like poison pools or grease, or magical effects that hinder your movement, just by hovering over them or right clicking them. Is that possible on controller?
Thank you very much! That's a really good question. On the top of my head I don't think there is. I will get back to you a little later so I can test it out, currently not near a pc :). I will be doing also another video on the patch 2 changes that dropped today, there is an extensive list of fixes some additions for controller aswel.
@@TissyTheBanshee I just now read those patch notes, and in the controller section they address this, so it wasn't possible before but they added it with this patch
My biggest question is how can you select multiple characters or items with the controller? Example: Some spells, like healing, can be cast on your entire crew. But I don’t know how to select multiple characters.
Good question, When you select a spell that required you to select multiples you have to hover over the targets you want to cats it o and select them with X until you have all characters selected then it should cast, you can change the spell level with dpad up and down that usually means you need to select fewer targets.
I actually missed it myself. So to do this is to go to your journal either via r2 and select it from the shortcut menu or by holding the touch pad and then pushing R1 to go to dialogues.
Ow I forgot about that one! Yes you can hold triangle to attack in dialog. And when trade is an option I believe it was square, it shows up at the bottom underneath the dialog.
I was just recording it, yes it's an option that shows up in multiplayer first by pulling the R2 trigger to bring up the shortcut menu and then there the L2 trigger you can ping. It's going to be in today's video if you are having trouble finding it :)
Another great video! Can you also cover everything that has changed with controller UI, radials, menagement etc. with todays patch? I assume this vid is still on the previous game version (?) Can't spot a difference from experience, cause I'll be playing on PS5 in 2 days and would love to compare if these improvements will be available for me day 1 Keep up the good work, I feel like all 3 of your controller guides already gave me a head start into better understanding of the game ✌
