Things to know before heading to BALI in 2024!
Travelling to Bali can be overwhelming and confusing, with all the information out there - so we have made it easy for you!
3 entry requirements to Bali:
1. A visa (you must have a return flight or flight out of the Bali, before your visa expires: molina.imigras...
2. Tourist tax (roughly $15 AUD / 150K rupiah) : lovebali.balip...
3. Immigration declaration: ecd.beacukai.g...
*Make sure you have the QR code saved on your phone or printed ready.
Hot Tips:
Protect your hair and skin with a shower filter - only $30 (especially if you are staying longer than a week). Here’s the one we got from amazon: www.amazon.com...
Have some cash on you for tipping, local tourist attractions, smaller cafes/restaurants, some private drivers etc.
*Learn from our mistakes and exchange your money at the Bali airport or once in Bali. Do your own investigation on your country’s exchange rate but rest assured Bali has good rates.
Organise an airport transfer from your hotel/villa or private driver through what's app
Some drivers we recommend GUSTI : + 62 812-463--041
Download Whats app, Gojek and Grab (Most communication is done via whatsapp and Gojek or Grab are great for ordering cars, scooter and food
Think uber and uber eats combined
ICE is safe to drink
Bali has new regulations on ice so you are a okay to drink it in your ice coffee 

Balinese who were born and lived in bali since 23 years ago i’d say luxury life with cheapest price are long gone, and before renting a villa make sure the water comes from a deep well pump so it is free from chlorine and other chemicals that will damage your hair color and your skin

How are you dealing with mosquitoes? We're going in September but we're planning long sleeves and pants. I'm so afraid of getting Dengue.

@@melissag.9179 Hi 😊Thanks for watching! We used a natural eucalyptus spray when we first got here, and we were applying it every day. The mosquitoes and bugs are worse in places like Ubud (if you are near the jungle) and Amed (but not really that bad). I feel like there was a lot of noise about this before we left, but once we got here the reality was very different. In the place we are staying in in Uluwatu, and when we were in Canggu, we have had no issues and we have stopped using the spray. We had the same fears, but we’ve been here for 2 months now and don’t know anyone who has had dengue. If you have any more questions, let us know and we hope you have an amazing trip! Where are you planning to visit? Xx Jai and Sheridan

@@jaisheridan thank you for this reply and super helpful video! We're going to the Cutural Park and Nusa Pineda. Do you have any recommendations for getting through the The Gates of Heaven the fastest? It'll be the end of September and a week day. I'm hoping that we'll mean there will be less people around.

@@melissag.9179 do you mean gate of heaven, lempuyang temple? The best advice would be, you have to go to these tourist places early in the morning, before the tour busses arrive. Try to get there just before sunrise and yes September will be less busy. You might be surprised also that Bali might not be as busy as it is made out to be. I’m sure it might be busier than it was perhaps 5 years ago, but July is said to be high season and I would say it is not as busy as people say it is…well at least in Uluwatu where we have been. Maybe in some other places in Canggu & Ubud (Seminyak, Kuta) etc. but the non mainstream places are still okay.
