Watching this documentary and looking at how Islamist extremism is growing in Malaysia, it's kinda of worrying. Not saying anything bad about Islam, but because the majority of Malaysian are Muslim, so it is easy for politicians or preachers to use religion as a tool to spread hatred or false claims among the ppl . and that's exactly what's happening now in malaysia

I was lounging at a nearby hotel lobby, waiting to check in when the bombing happened. I remembered seeing the tempered glass walls of the hotel warping inwards followed by the sound of a distant explosion seconds later, which was surreal as it seemed to happen in slow motion. My first thought was that it was an earthquake as the bats were flitting furiously around the lobby ceiling and the tempered glass walls wobbled after the muted explosion was heard. Earthquakes are common in Bali which I had experienced during earlier trips and the bats are always the first telltale sign of one. Can't remember the name of the hotel that I'd stayed in but it's about 1.5km away from the blast site and I had arrived in Bali on sq148, the last flight, as I had travelled after work. Until today, I thank the stars that I didn't arrive on an earlier flight as I would definitely be near the site having dinner or shopping as the old Hard Rock Cafe was in that area. My plan was to go to the Billabong shop which was just a walking distance away, to shop, have dinner, and hang out at HRC thereafter. Suffice to say, the trip was marred by the incident as all the TV channels were continuously airing uncensored scenes the following day, of the blast site with many gory scenes of charred or dismembered bodies lying around the mortuary and it was hard to continue with the trip. There was a lot of confusion right after the blast as the hotel security staff were becoming increasingly frantic and would only say that it was a gas explosion nearby when queried. I soon realized that it was more than just an accidental explosion when I saw a group of barefooted and almost delirious Australian women hobbling into the hotel lobby, screaming for help and medical attention. I've not been to Bali ever since. The sentiments of the tragic incident are still fresh even after all these years. Such a senseless and tragic incident, my heart goes out to the victims and to those who were deeply traumatized by the tragedy.

This terror attack had a negative economic effect in most parts of Indonesia, even the rural economy in Java and Lombok was badly affected, because the market for their products was in Bali. Many of them don't even have market access to Bali anymore until now. The economic effect in Bali feels even more severe because there is absolutely no tourism activity, and now Covid has brought the same effect and until now it has not recovered, after many entrepreneurs and workers went bankrupt.

terrorism like this still exist in the form of verses waiting for a believers or user. a governor in indonesia was framed for blasphemy. millions of islamians hit the streets chanting kill the chinese christian governor, children were taught in the mosques to chant kill kill kill. 'jail him or we will take matters into our own hands'. why and how did this take place? islamians loathed at him, for cleaning up the city. he wanted to ban the slaughter of animals along side public roads and suggested islamians to do it in a more appropriate hygenic place. islamians would take none of it. he exposed corruption, islamians would take none of it. he spoke the the truth and yelled and fired laxy corrupted government officialls and civil servants that did not serve the people. islamians wanted to get rid of him, islamic influentials, imams ustads exposed the governor as a christian. islamians ustads imams influentials quoted a verse in quran and called him an unrighteous unworthy dirty evil doer. islamian imams influentials called all other islamians that supported the governors righteousness and his rights as a citizen, infedel munfiks traitors. a terrorist doesnt need to kill. even words of discrimination justified by religion can kill.

The Kool Aide Is a mixture centred around 1. The main goal will be resurrecting the Islamic Caliphate. 2. Implement and enforce Islamic jurisprudence, i.e. sharia laws. 3. Begin a jihad against sin and sinful activities that has been permitted and is now widespread around them. These three main points are inline with what an average law abiding muslim citizen who is reasonably pious believe in. Only difference is the mainstream religious teachings does not condone the act of violence against both the state or civilians in order to achieve those three objectives.

Muslims were the ones attacking the Westerners and their culture who have been welcomed by the locals which in turn increase Bali’s economy and prosperity. There are tourists who behave badly, wherever they come from and wherever they go, it’s not because they want to attack the local culture it’s just because they are selfish, careless and indifferent to other people and their culture and some people are like that.
