Hello there 😊 From what I know, there is already an established rule and guidance in Balinese architecture that local architects must follow. In this case, the lobby here is based on “Bale Wantilan” and it’s part of the main anatomy of Balinese architecture, so it has its own rules and common features. Maybe that’s why both lobby look similar
Hi Dorsey, haha😄, I'm sorry you felt that way. But that, more or less, was my point; to show the huge juxtaposition between the grandeur of the lobby and gloomy-ness of the corridor and how it's one of the worst thing about this hotel. I need to show it what it is, sadly
You have very nice review coverage. I had planned my Bali trip with 2 year old kids and booked for April in Grand mirage. But owing to some reason I had to postpone to July. I came across your review of Ayodya and found the resort appealing. With recent addition of the pool slides I hope this can be fun for kids. But wanted your opinion how this compares against the Grand mirage which is specifically positioned as a family resort.
Hello, thank you! 😊 I have never stayed at Mirage, so I can’t speak much. But yes, Mirage is truly a family resort and is famous for it. I am speaking from design perspective, Ayodya is superior and more special (whereas Mirage is just basic modern hotel). Plus Ayodya is way larger in terms of size. And it’s also cheaper (?). So I guess, Ayodya has the edge here
Beberapa kali stay di sini, sekitar 10 - 15 tahun lalu, jadi hotel favorit saat itu di Nusa Dua karena garden landscapenya di backyard yg didesain cantik dengan water gardennya (where is some storks that used to be there ?), , meski saya prefer Grand Hyatt. & memang benar ada bagian corridor yg agak gelap & 'gersang' saat itu, yaitu yg di lantai dasar. Semoga sekarang sudah ada improvement. Overall hotel yg totalitas menampilkan ciri tradisional dengan desain yg bagus.
Halo lagi kak Antiek. Wah 15 tahun yang lalu masih bagus2 nya tuh. But for me, the landscape is not the best thing about the resort. Terlihat agak kaku, terutama penggunaan jalan2 paving nya. But yes, still beautiful nonetheless. Dan sudah sepatutnya resort ini glorious lagi seperti zaman dulu
Did it feel safe at the resort? So many empty areas, I wonder if guests are spread out or if close together. It would be more comfortable to see other guests in corridors as well, especially at night.
Hi Nikki 😊 Yes absolutely it’s safe, no need to worry, epsecially as the resort is located inside Nusa Dua complex, well known for its strict security. And yeah, the corridor, I hope they can do something about it
Ah finally.. my recommendation. 😁 Thank you for the video. The last time I visited ayodya was in 2018.. This hotel has a special place in my heart. Had my wedding reception here back at 2016. Its old indeed, maybe need some refreshment, but still pretty well maintain. Its part of Wyndham now. Will come back here again one day with my kids. Thank you.
Hi Wayan. Oh yeah, I forgot it was you who mentioned it first. That must be quite a memory to be wedded at this kingdom resort 😊 And yes, you are also righ about the Wyndham part. But it’s not necessraily part of managed by them. It’s just a partnership in its loyalty program. I forgot to mention this in the video 🤦♂️
@@travelwithdesign ah okay, thanks for the explanation. Had the reception in the garden behind Ayodya Palace section facing the sea, beach isn't facing west so unfortunately can't get sunset view in the afternoon, but still a very nice view.
