You obviously take the time and effort to give us new and different camera angles in your videos, and I just wanted to let you know that this city slicker appreciates it a lot.
Always drill a hole at each end and then grind all of the old weld of, put a hot root pass then a pass on each side meeting in the middle of the root pass.
I hope your knee is OK. I fell over yesterday and hurt my left foot. In a lot of pain. That top that your dad is wearing, it really suits him. Brings out his tan. Keep safe.
Your story of the farm boy falling in love with a city girl reminded me of a joke you could tell your dad. The farm boy brought his city girlfriend to his farm to show her all their cattle. She asked him why some had horns and some didn't. He explained how the cattle in this corral had horns but they cut them off so they wouldn't hurt each other. Then he showed her another breed who don't have horns at all. Then she saw another corral and ask why don't those have horns ? The farm boy said because those are horses.
I don’t understand why you are alone Cole! You are such a super caring handsome guy with a great personality! 😊..I’m watching this older video so mayb by now there is one lucky lady in your life! 👍🙏🏻😊😊
If that cracks on you again I would extend that reinforcement plate on the top all the way over and then put a strap reinforcement plate on the back as well. Looks like by design it has a lot of stress in that area, hence the corner reinforcement plate.
Love the videos! Keep 'em coming. Not only do you create great content, and have great personality on camera, but the videography is great too. The many different perspectives keep it interesting and make a 15/20 minute video fly by in like 2 mins. Also props on your drone control - it takes practice to get the smooth views you always produce. If I might suggest some video ideas for rainy or upcoming winter days - could you do a quick overview of the controls in the tractors? As a city poke, I would have assumed pedals played a predominant role, but it I've figured out throttle is done by hand on the right, which makes sense with the PTO and stuff. Also, as a nerd, I'm curious about the the process for editing and publishing your videos. I know you started uploading to RU-vid to be able to erase your sd cards, but do you still do that, or do you save all your raw video? What type of internet do you have at the farm and how long does it take to upload? Thanks again for continuing to share your daily grind - it's the opposite of my website desk job and I love watching!
Would you or your dad be interested in trying out a Lewis Cattle oiler. It helps a lot for flies and pinkeye and mange in the winter. Let me know. I can arrange a demo. I'm only 40 miles away
Grind a deep v in the crack turn the heat up on the mig welder fill the v up ,lape the weld up about 1\4 inch on either side. grind the weld flat cut a plate weld on all sides on the flat and on the vert. the cracks formed on the heat efect zone after this shold not crack agin
Ur acuiring gobs of knowlege. I love the newer equipment.from perpesctive of 70s to 90s dairy farmer. Nice big fields. I dont go to town much eithor.got everything i need here. Toy for everyseason too. Yes walmart.they herd u in one door.and one for exit here 🙄
Haven't used wire Welder but a handful of times but with the stick I would have made 3 or 6 first one down the middle then it's half on that half on metal, so you would make first weld then 2 on top of that then 3 on that. You need to drill a hole at the end of the crack too it will stop it from going further should plate when you can too. The easier the slag chips off the better the weld
OMG when you were grinding YOU scared the CRAP out of me!!! Take it from an old construction man in Utah.......... watch were your Shirt Hangs!!! Common sense but also I KNOW!! LOL
When hoodie season comes back around you gotta be careful of the strings on the hood. Haven’t had that happen but just imagining what it would do is enough for me to cut the stings down lol
Hey Cole. This was a great video that you shared with us thank you so much for sharing this video with us I sure go ahead pressure wash the dog the dog might enjoy it but thank you for another video and sharing it with us be waiting for the next one to come out love watching your videos
Two is good but two more one on each side overlapping the centre pass while DO A really nice job and is the correct way to weld repairs like this. It spreads the repair load over awider area
Great video! But it was hot and you guys were working too hard again. Don't worry though, I turned the fan on and pointed it right at my couch. I hope it helped.
@@briansonne814 but you guys have a AC in your tractors ! That's a way better than a fan. ( I was just acknowledging the fact that you guys always work so hard )
"Cole" your dad offered you a great relationship in the heiffers at least when they go out the gate *they will make you money, 'when the city heiffer goes out the gate she will spend your money. Take your dad's advice experience is great knowledge.
"That's how i make my money". So, TV reality show??, Hmmmm, you change your socks, change your boots, but leave on the stinky pants??. Thanks for the video, my TV and internet has been down for 6 days in New England, very high winds, rain. Need my fix of you tube 😎👍😎
Welding cracks is not fun I suggest take the time in the winter to make different passes speed heat wire speed and watch a few videos or take a class at local collage I took a course and learned a lot
Mike from, “Our Wyoming Life,” just did a comparison on Dakota Gold in the 50lb. bag and getting a ton, in those huge white bags. He said he saved 50% buying it in bulk.💡
My 18 year old daughter gets mad when I watch you guys before she is home. Demands to "Watch the hot farmer" even said she would move to South Dakota State for a guy like you. So keep your head up man, there are women in Wisconsin who lust after you.
Cole, You are not alone. You have peoples. 78.8K peoples. Your peoples have peoples. Single , sweet, educated, lovely daughters, cousins, and sisters. Kick Hollywood to the curb and be patient until Covid is over. We'll set you up.
I know I keep repeating myself but I really enjoy the music you have chosen for your time lapse and drone video, it's so peaceful and relaxing. Almost enjoy it more than dad jokes and seeing Ellie "herd" her cows.
Instead of putting the last weld on top, run it down the side of the weld so half is flowing on the weld and half on the parent metal on both sides and you have a multi bead pass.
Hello again guys!! Cole, I was with you when you were grinding that deep crack (Oooer), nice welding though buddy. How disheartening for Brian- driving all that way for a bale only to have it do a rongun on him, that'd get my goat. Hee hee...Iv'e got some priddy heifers for ya, your dad's wit is timeless. I see the baby bale is putting on a bit of timber, it should be full grown by Christmas d''ya reckon? Those 2 deer in the chipboard room, they must have been moving to go half way through the wall? Stay safe guys!! Dave.
my sister had to see a doctor she went in when parked the vehicle lol ask at the fount desked were the exchanged ward for a new sister did get a good laugh from them nurses lol guess they had too many had to bring her back home lol then I told my parents they did wanted her they had a draw full lol my mom when to the washroom the waiter he came by did have him ask her to want
Weld cracking results when weld cooling rates produce a hard, crack susceptible weld microstructure. Welding heats up the metal and as it cools, it contracts and puts contraction strain on the welded area (that's why it cracks again right next to the weld -- weakest point in the "contraction strain" area). At the end of each welding pass, use a chipping hammer or a ball peen and tap tap tap as it cools. By tap, tap, tapping the welded area as its cooling, the energy lets the metal align slightly as its cooling and reduces the the contraction stress. Easy and effective
These 'reality' TV shows are all for some manufacturing of a situation to meet their requirements, but almost all the viewers know a lot is manufactured and don't care. They just like the entertainment.
