Meredtih, just a suggestion from an old mechanic. When you grease the zerk fittings, always wipe off the dirt on the nipple before you put on the grease gun and load it up. That way you are not forcing the dirt on the nipple into the grease pocket. Dirt inside the grease pocket will cause excess wear and part failure....I hope that made sense....Good videos...Thanks!

Absolutely wipe it off. Pushing dirt in will grind in the bushings, bearings and cause quicker wear.

Your plugging up on the rake because the material is to rank and long. The only way to improve is to open the rake up in the middle and make a flatter wider windrow. Feel sorry for the unplugging you have to go through.

Mer, You are not alone as far as those burgers. One day my girls wanted hamburgers. I had ground beef, but only had hot dog buns. So, I took the ground beef and rolled them in the shape of a hot dog. I grilled them and put them in the bun. Since then, the popular request has been "Hambudogs." Taste great adding a bit of root beer to your ground beef to give the flavor of a teriyaki burger. Enjoy....

Don't clean the grill with a wire brush, fine wire can stick to the grill and be transferred to whatever you are cooking and you can digest those fine pieces of wire and then you have a problem.

Thanks for sharing the video Meredith. Glad y'all got the sun hemp up. Wish I lived close by y'all could have tried my Vermeer v rake with the wheels. It would have cleaned up the ground better and I think it would have handled the hemp better. I could be wrong as I have never raised it before. You are right about not raking and baling hay in our part of the country with the headlights on. I'm waiting to see what goes on with the weather and I have 50 acres to get done and I'll be done for the year. Y'all take care.

They actually don’t work that well. I have purchased 2 different types and went back to the original one. There are some grease nipples, such as recessed ones that you can’t get on. They also get grit in the lock mechanism and then they are hard to release or get on the fittings. Just my experience with them. Have a good day.

I really hope your cows will eat this hemp but from what I'm seeing is they won't eat it because it's going to be to tough. We always cut and bale between 35 and 40 days.
