Today we will very briefly visit Leskovac, Serbia home to the best meat in the country! After being told about this incredible food, I had to make a quick stop to try some of this famous Serbian Food for myself! We will try the world famous Pljeskavica and of course a bacon wrapped cevap! This restaurant that we will be visiting is called ABC Safari restaurant. I wish I could've had more time to explore this city! I will definitely be back! Hope you're enjoying the vlogmas series!

Hi Chris, on your way back to belgrade you make a short visit to Mladenovac. In the centre of this small town is the marketplace where you have to ask for "kod Mije". And there you have to try dimljena vešalica (my favorite). And 25 m away there is also a small restaurant where you can eat "burek ispod saća. Trust me.

You have to come at the end of August on "Leskovačka roštiljijada", like you said festival of meat! I've been there, it is out of this World! You can't imagine that atmosphere at night!

You making a mistake because you going to the fancy restaurants, bhut you have to go to the small local kafanas, there is much better food, you just need a good recommendation.

If you have time when you spend your time in Belgrade you must visit one fast food called Kod Leskovcanina... The guy is form Leskovac, and he has the best meat... You must try... I hope you had a good time 😄 City square is getting renovated, so that is why there is a hell lot of mess next to the restaurant you’ve been to 😅 City is really messy these days but authorities said it will be done by the time for Grill Festival in August 2021. It is the biggest food festival in Balkan area, it lasts for 5-6 days and every night a famous artist from Balkan performs on the main street, a few years ago wider city center was blocked for traffic (beyond the area thats usually blocked for festival) because famous artist performed. Every year we break Guinness world record for biggest burger ever made, it became tradition. More then half a million tourists pass through on those few days. Leskovac was one of the hardest bombed cities during WW2 and hardest hit by 90s sanctions on Yugoslavia when 11 local factories closed and thousands of people were left jobless, city is still trying to recover from it which is unfortunate, but still south Serbia is the most hospitable part with warmest people, and Leskovac is Balkan BBQ capital and Serbian capital of food, ajvar, peppers and paprika. Isn't it wonderful to be able to experience a lot of different things in life? Travel, try the food. 15 years ago I moved from Serbia to Portugal. Sea food here is great. I watch videos like yours to kill nostalgia. Went to Serbia in August. BTW made my own kajmak half hour ago. They don't have here. Glaf you enjoying your staying. ♥️

I'm so happy that you visited Leskovac,the one and only city with the best Pljeskavica and Cevapi 💪 Leskovac has a lot to offer especially great and cheap food at the local restaurants where good pljeskavica is around 200 DIN and it's unbelievable tasty . Great people aswell. At the end Leskovac is the capital of the Barbecue 🤗😍 You need to visit Leskovac in Rostiljijada time 🤗 Have a great time and greetings from Leskovac 😊

If you are staying some more days in Niš, go to kafana "Dva Jarana" and try pljeskavica and džigerica, and/or go to kafana "Naše mesto" and try teleći repovi. Both are top notch.

5:08 We call that Greek Mix, and these are very common in Serbian "Healthy Food" stores, but you can buy the little pillow-ish things separately. They are cheap soo thats the part of their succes.

When you´ll be back in Belgrade, you MUST try the food Kod Bucka. Even the celebrities come to eat Kod Bucka because his kind of pizza is something you have never seen before. Maybe you will love it, maybe you won´t, but you have to try it, it is completely out of this world! :)

Hey Chris! This is day 3 of me asking you to contact me so i can show you a tour of Vršac! Haha its actually pretty close to Leskovac. Theres a pretty good restaurant called Dinar here that i have to show you! And the famous Vrsac mountains and Vrsac Tower are nearby, i have so much ideas planned!

Welcome to Leskovac! Not the best place to taste true traditional grill, but a decent one, I guess. There are a lot of local dishes, the famous ones are: Pljeskavica (served traditionally with chopped onions only, but modern generations prefers "Šopska salata" - a simple salad made of tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, cheese and oil.) Ćevapi - the meat is the same as pljeskavica's but differently shaped. Mućkalica - not sure how it is made but it's tasty as hell. Ražnjići - pieces of mixed meat on a stick, grilled with vegetables. Uštipci - the meat is same as in Pljeskavica, but we add many flavor-shifting ingredients such as: garlic, onion, hot dried peppers, yellow cheese, black pepper and salt. It is very tasty. And a large number of local dishes which has nothing to do with grill.
