I have the same watch with a black dial that I bought in 2015. I think this watch is great and I wear it often. My only complaint I had with it was the butterfly clasp would not reliably stay engaged. Sometimes a sudden jolt, like smacking my hand on a table, would cause it to pop open. I contacted Ball directly and their customer service was amazing. They sent me a replacement locking buckle at no charge to me. I installed it myself and it solved that problem. I could not be happier with their customer support and the quality of their products. Initially I did have the same problem with the screws on the bracelet coming loose. I just kept an eye on it and tightened them whenever I found one backed out. After it happened a few times, I would simply tighten them a little bit harder and eventually that stopped happening. Another option you might try would be applying a very mild version of Loctite to the screw threads.
I have the Ball Trainmaster Roman, Roadmaster GMT and Engineer M marvelight. Love them all and yes, they are COSC certified and regulated by the company.
I literally feel it: "it bothered me at first, but over time..." I scratched my first automatic on the first evening after an very funny evening after pure stupidity but still fun, and i thought about to get a new titanium bracelet. Would been one of the most senseless things in my life. Even if i felt minda pain during the first few days watching on the scratches. When i look at them nowadays: new scratches don't bother me at all and these ones let me think about an real good evening with my best friends.
I luv the Ball brand, it's American heritage, the use of tritium for lume and it's reputation for quality that exceeds their price points. I bought my 3rd one, an Engineer Pioneer limited edition last year with the same metal bracelet as on your watch, and yes, I have the same problem with one of the screws. At least now I know it wasn't just a fluke with me. Also, mine is a chronometer with the second generation of their in-house movement, yet it's running about 3 second fast, not the 1 second you're getting. Oh well. Still, can't complain, it's a beauty of a watch.
I’m seriously considering this as my next watch but with the black dial and the COSC version. It’s up against the Longines spirit. Decisions decisions. Btw. The issue with the screws is quite common with screw links. Higher end watches usually use loctite from factory so they don’t wiggle out. It’s a simple fix. Just make sure you get the right one. Otherwise, you’ll never be able to unscrew it again
That’s a tough decision. The longings spirit is a great watch as well. Either way you will be happy I think! I bought loctite and the screws have stayed in ever since.
I own an Engineer III Legend II. Same bracelet and I think the same case. The watch looks much better as the watch gets worn. I can tell you actually wear your watch. Looks great.
Great watch and brand. I have silver dial marvellite lov the blue tritium. Your white dial also lites up blue enjoy wearing watch. Stay healthy and safe.
I have the same watch with the gray dial. Same issues with the screws. I bought some thread lock, Problem solved. Very annoying though. Other than that I agree, good watch, perfect size for me, nice looking, can be worn in most any situation. Not a huge fan of the clasp, but I don’t hate it Overall I am happy with it, no regrets.
i bought a new engineer iii marvelight chronometer (36mm) and the watch fell off my wrist on the first day after i received it. i took it to my trusted local watch shop (little watch shop in houston, tx) to have it looked over and they said a few of the screws weren't screwed all the way in so that the head is slightly recessed. luckily i was just typing at my desk when it happened and i was able to find the screw on the rug. but overall i love the watch!
how do you rest it when not on your wrist, being your time kept is so accurate? I own Roadmaster challenger 18 day/date RR1102 movement its not as accurate as yours
I used an adhesive to keep the screws in and I have not had an issue since. I think my watch was an exception most don’t report this problem with the watch…

Thanks man! I don’t have any plans on selling my sarb anytime soon, but if you want one I recommend looking on eBay or other online sites. They have been discontinued but they are still around!
I would Not use Locktite but some nail polish on the screw thread should suffice as a mild thread lock that would allow screw removal down the road if needed plus it's free if you have a G/F or a wife.
Bro your watch looks badass with those scuff marks. And I pay $2000 for a reliable watch that is super high quality and that will HOLD up to daily wear as well as be COSC, not to keep it locked away in a closet.
