Hi Lance - thanks very much for your positive comments. Good to hear from another watch fan that has discovered the beauty of the underdog Swiss watch and especially Ball watches! Which Ball models do you have? I spent 10 years lusting after a Ball watch before getting my first one. (I now have seven) I never assumed you could find such good prices for a brand of such high quality. This is where the benefit of the lesser appreciated brands really comes to the fore - Price! As I'm sure you know, Ball watches are equal to if not better than mainstream luxury brands like Tag, Breitling and maybe even Omega but those brands are more than twice the price because of the marketing and demand for them - Great for watch fans like us! I have become a bit of a nerd when it comes to Ball - could write a whole book own this brand. There is something about their designs that appeals to me like no other watch. Anyway, sorry for rambling on - thank you so much for watching and subscribing. I hope I can unlock the key to RU-vid and get my videos showing up a bit more. @@wristwatchdave422 Hi Dave. I have the Engineer Master 2 DLC black dial and the Engineer 2 Arabic white dial (bought both together as my first Swiss automatic watches) and that started this expensive but satisfying hobby! My latest Ball is The Engineer 3 Legend blue dial. I bought it on the pre-sale bc it was the thinnest Engineer 11.9mm and had the Cyclops and my choice of green tritium (the best for legibility) and they would engrave it for free with the purchase. Also my first watch with a metal bracelet as most catch on my hairy wrists, but not this one! Though I'm not a fan of butterfly clasps in general.

@@wristwatchdave422 What most folks don't realize about Ball is it's very rich history (due to the American Webb C Ball) and his influence in standardizing the use of chronometers to ensure accuracy across time zones for the rail road system to be safer. Another American (forgot his name) came to Switzerland shortly after and helped them to do the same and standardize manufacturing with mechanical improvements to the movements. I've seen some RU-vid documentaries on this but it's never too late for you to try your hand at making a special episode devoted to Ball's rich history and impact on today's Swiss monopoly on fine time pieces (apologies, Grand Seiko and German watch fans)!

@@wristwatchdave422 May I also suggest you include some of the more premium micro brands that use Swiss movements and components and assemble in Switzerland? Brands such as Farer and Monta? I also agree with you that Ball is on par (sometimes better) compared to many better known overpriced brands (like those you mentioned) from a built quality and innovation perspective. I almost purchased their watch with the internal mechanical thermometer... Never saw that offered in other brands.

Hi - it's currently around +4 which is pretty good. In fact +6/7 isn't too bad. COSC certified criteria is within -4 to +6 seconds
