3. Milling Operation: The ball mill is started and the material inside the mill is subjected to the grinding process. The rotation of the mill's cylindrical shell causes the grinding media (balls) to fall back into the cylinder and onto the material to be ground. As the mill rotates, the grinding media crushes and grinds the material into a fine powder.
4. Control and Monitoring: During the milling operation, the ball mill is continuously monitored and controlled to ensure optimal performance. Parameters such as rotation speed, milling time, and temperature may be adjusted to achieve the desired particle size distribution and other product specifications.
5. Discharging: Once the desired milling time is reached or the desired particle size is obtained, the ball mill is stopped and the ground material is discharged. This is usually done through a discharge chute or valve at the bottom of the mill. The ground material may be collected in a container or transported for further processing or use.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance: After the milling operation, the ball mill and its components need to be cleaned and maintained. This involves removing any remaining material, inspecting and replacing worn parts, and ensuring that the mill is in good working condition for the next operation.
