Ballast trains keep the railways going!
A series of clips shot from 1990-1996 of Ballast Trains around various parts of NSW.
My modelling lately has me focused on departmental/ways and works trains and ballast trains comprise part of that. Along with the imminent release of IDRs BBW/NHWF ballast hoppers I thought I'd do some video research.
I'm still learning a new editing program (Premier Pro) so sorry for any stuff ups/bad effects.

A lot of the older ballast hoppers have had their appointments with Sims Metal as too most of the loco's featured. Good catch the triple 85's at St Marys too, Thanks for the stroll down memory lane!

1st is Berowra- Mt Kuringai. 48's and 44's 2nd Bungendore-Tarago , 8146 3rd St Marys, Electrics 4th Darling Harbour- Rozelle, 73's 5th Dubbo or Merrygoen? Not 100% sure, 48's
