Glad your car is now running good. In February our only car was in the shop for 3 weeks. At the same time my wife was heeling up with a neck fracture, thankfully no surgery. And she getting ready for a mastectomy. She has heeled from surgery and chemo. Still has to do radiation. Friend gave us rides to places. No car rentals were available. Back to the build. Allan you are very innovative. Enjoyed the how to film on the bridge abutments. Both myself and the wife enjoy your films. My best to you, Lord Allan and Lady Barbara. Bill from California, USA.
Thank you so much for watching. I hope your lovely wife is on the mend and pulls through okay 👍 give her our best wishes from us. And it’s no fun having a car in the shop for so long. We sure miss them when they’re not available. All the best from the lady Barbara and I
Nice job Allan. Nothing better than being in the train room, messing with the layout and trains while watching the rain outside. Very relaxing 👍 Regards… Steve
Wow you've been busy mate and looks awesome round the lift up section now, fantastic idea using the double sided sticky tape as always another great video and update kind regards Danny 😀 😊
Hi Allan, What a good idea reminded me of me doing those wagon loads without glue but using PVA was a master stroke it will be interesting to see how it stands up to the winter but hope it lasts as it looks good and finishes those bits of as for the bridges in real life they would be different just like yours. All running well as usual and thats always a good thing to have so well done on all fronts. I did a bit of filming today so video progressing slowly. Keep well and safe and good luck with the M.O.T.. Cheers Robert.
Thank you so much for watching. I did not plan the film as i just thought it would look ok if i did . And it seem to come out ok on cam . it`s that type of job you do off cam . in the back ground type of jobs. any way Car seems ok up to now lets see what happens over the next week. I tend to film bits on and off at times and sometimes i get better content for editing. Cheers Robert.
Hello, m'lord! Great to see you and even better to hear the car issues are solved for now and running well. Hope the family is well. Not a bad idea on the taping; of course, tape is weather-suspect, too. Hopefully the system you devised works, because it looks great. If the double sided holds, you could maybe use it in a way to add some temporary grass or ballast scenics between the tracks on the bridge. You know, lay it down, pick it right off when you need to... no glue... no hassle. Looks like you guys got all the rain we've missed the last few months, although we have had a couple showers in the last couple of weeks. Anyhow, take care of yourself and all the best to you and your family! Cheers!
Thank you so much for watching and the lovely comments. Good idea that using tape for the grass sure would make it neat. Cheers Anthony. Hopefully chat later on your stream.
Hi Lord Allan 👍 Looks really good and the low level footage looks awesome. As for ballasting across the bridge me personally I would leave it as I would love to see the trains running from underneath but at the the end of the day it’s your layout so do what you feel you would like todo. All the best my dear friend Andy
I thought the same as someone else and plastic primer the underside of the perspex, Good idea to give it a key to stick to, It`s been that wet this month I thought we`d moved to Wales
The car's repaired at last.😂😂.I found a company called Tracklay and ordered a sample pack from them and it comes with a small roll of double sided tape and a small bag of ballast,ok for small fill in jobs.👍
Nice to see the LMS steam engines again, but they're still stuck with goods trains. Please give them some coaches next time, the livery doesn't have to match. I've seen a Black 5 hauling a rake of Blood & Custard Mk. 1s before.
Hi Lord Allan. Sorry for not commenting on your videos recently, but I've been playing catch up with all my subscriptions again 😮😢 Anyway, that's a great idea with regard to the double sided sellotape and neat pva. Hopefully it will work ok for you. I would leave the bridges themselves for now, so that the method can be proven over a period of time. Will also give you more time to think about it. Best wishes. Mark.
Thank you so much Mark.. Quick update the ballasting is still fine and dandy even after all the humidity and rain . So all is well. Yes am leaving the bridges ,they look far better as is and better for filming.
Great Video Alan ,Could you spray the underside of the perspex bridge with stone effect paint might look like it ballasted from the top..or it might not !!!!🙃
