Okay, this movie is cute and all, but am I the only one who is super bothered by how easily she learned ballet in such a small time frame? I took six years of ballet lessons before starting on pointe and she just... learned her technique *in* pointe shoes? And she went from knowing literally nothing about ballet to being able to land a grande jete off a huge staircase in what, a couple weeks? I didn’t learn to do a grande jete on a *flat surface* until Level 5X. And she did this in denim?
Honestly yes I'm also very bothered by that, also the Split scene makes me cringe so hard and I was just worried some kid is going to trying to do the same thing after watching this movie, I used to do Gymnastics, I have seen people get really hurt becuase they where trying to show off how they could do a split when they where clearly not prepared, not to mention she did it without even stretching which is incredibly dangerous
This movie was amazing! Watched it when i was around 12 and obsessed with ballet. This movie was so good and I'd love to watch it again. 10/10!!! Leap satisfied my ballet phase and i still wonder how the girl managed to leap all the way down a flight of stairs 🤣 and dance in mary janes....
I actually kinda feel bad for the girl she was competing with because she work for years and then she works for like a week. It takes time to get that good like YEARS!!
The blonde was being forced to train by her mother, which is why she was so aggressive. Plus, the red haired girl trained for at least a few months before the actual performance. You don’t learn them in a day after all! I should know, I’ve been a dancer for 7 years. A lot of it is WANTING to do it, and the blonde didn’t truly want it
@@kayleecoral1789 that's true! i'm also a ballet dancer for 13 years now and judging by the techniques and preciseness of each move etc, honestly even a few months would not be able to produce such results if you're a beginner unless you're dancing every second of every hour of every day.
At 2:25, Camille jumps after Felicie but lands before her. That means that Camille is heavier than Felicie. Not that it matters at all, just an observation.
I watched this movie 5 years ago and now that its 2024 and i still remember this... but now since I'm part of hazbin hotel fandom(ever since the pilot came out)... she reminds me of Camila-
The irony is Camille showed so much more emotion in this dance battle than she ever did before, as Merante criticized, "Stop! As cold as lard! It's not enough to do the steps. Find some anger or some pain or some love, but find something!"
I just don't understand how the main character became better than the other girl in like a couple months even the other girl practiced all her life lol, I still love this movie tho
I remember going to the cinema and watching ballerina in the cinema, when we finished watching it we were doing “ballet” down the toilet corridor 😭 Watching this movie made me want to be a ballerina. And I did do lessons for a while.
This movie always made me cry. I gave up on my dream of being a ballerina when i was little and regreted it ever since. This movie just reminds me that i love ballet and cant follow that dream anymore.
I did that too and i regret it so much..I cry everytime i watch this i been bullied that i danced ballet etc. but we can always start it over again. We can do it❤
@@kayttales I wish I could but I have a heart condition and double foot surgery so physically its gonna be really hard to get back into ballet. It takes hard work and my body simply cant handle it right now. But I do believe that if you want something enough you can do it. Thank you for your words of encouragement it means alot to have someone believe in me. ☺❤
@@Faleth Im so sorry about your conditions, I hope youll get better always better day by day ❤ but you know you can always teach some ballet theories and show some videos of ballet if you wanna teach people to dance ballet. I had an teacher who couldnt do much after her leg surgery so there was another student and sometimes another teacher who showed us the ballet moves while our teacher told us what to do etc. I wish and pray for you, dream will come true💗 someday we both be part of the ballet magic. Who knows maybe we will accidentally meet each other🌹
@@kayttales you just made my day. 😄 Thank you for lifting me up. Ill definitely try to do ballet and if we meet someday ill give you a big hug cause youre just too kind! Thank you again for your kind words of encouragement. ❤
I think that one of the best things about the animation in this movie were the facial expressions. Go back and replay the scenes - especially the last scene here. Look at the various expressions. The instructor's expressions may be the funniest. He goes from an approving nod to shock during the last leap. Sort of a "Holy Crap; she's doing it?!"
I feel bad for Camille she was my favourite character because I always knew that her mother was just forcing her Edit: And for some reason I like her sassy attitude
I wanted to watch a completely different cartoon and they gave me this, wasn't disappointed in the least then I saw this jump and I almost jumped from my seat
YourFriendIzzy , Yeah! My sister is at a dance school. She’s well aware this never happens. Even if there are some people she doesn’t like, they just silently hate each other 🤷♀️
Felicé: Literally is the best dancer of like 12 year olds at one of the best dance schools in the world and hasn’t even seen a proper ballerina before she left the orphanage yet is a beautiful and graceful dancer Me: Doing ballet since I was 2 yet looks like a dying pigeon who got ran over on stage
